You'll never win that one I'm afraid mate. Your posts are full of accurate chart predictions and it suits only when they hear what they want to hear. I think you're lost on some people and are best to use the info to the best of your needs and quite frankly, eff 'em! I didn't realise you were the Legend from iii!!! I was considering a bet on this weekend's game being a high scoring affair. Your lot are without Woodgate and King (I think) and we're without Skrtel, Agger and maybe even Carragher. I wonder what the odds of 4 goals or more are?

Maybe we should use this room as a meeting point. I'll be keeping tabs on the next one that attention is drawn to. It's not rocket science that once posters get a bit of kudos they can make a difference to the SP. Funny thing is that part of it is jealousy on my part for not spotting it earlier, I see no problem in making money from ramped shares. Telling the newbies to be careful is a bit like a dentist standing in the corner of a sweet shop.... I understand that HGC and Co. would get the hump though as it's undermining their hard 'work'. I've definately learnt my lesson now though and will keep it off the regular boards from now on! BW Dave

Sorry, I was referring to ACTA, not PXS. I'll be watching the posts of HGC and Spiritfinder closely as they do seem to have gained a decent following on here and have had some success recently. Same always applies and that is to avoid anything that has risen 100% in a short period. The SP could continue to rise but the risks are too high and the full opportunity has passed by this time.

There's been takeover talk for a while, it caused the SP to just from c.20p to c.50p earlier in the year. It may be that the potential rise is already factored in, there was an RNS earlier this week to state that the previous takeover talks had come to a halt without an offer being made and the SP didn't plummet. Who knows in this market, strange things happen!

It's a bit weird to ask people to get in to a company you hadn't heard of a couple of hours ago :D I was in there at 7p a few months ago, not sure how much more legs the rise has got in it but good luck anyway!

You're right, there's very little interest here but I notice from the results that they still haven't quite reached profitability which means they're possibly going to have to ask for more money. Have you ever thought about offering a service to fellow PIs giving buy/sell indicators? I'm useless at charting and struggle to get to grips with it but am also wary of asking for indicators for obvious reasons. Isn't chicken with ham inside some sort of schnitzel?

I may apply the same theory to shares that have risen immeasurably, they seem a decent bet for a short once upward movement's run out of steam. Let me know how you get on, need all the help we can get! Osaki, I've missed out on a few that have risen because I've never known when that rise is going to peter out. Too risky IMO and better to stick to your own research and that of friends who you can trust. OldFool, using both camps to best advantage sounds great in principle and I guess that it confirms that messages on these boards do have a direct impact on buying/selling decisions of small investors. I had these up until recently but sold out of boredom. Usually that's the key for them to rise but seems I was lucky here. Surely they have great potential going forward, was there bad news?

I did indeed but by the time funds were available I had to pay 38p. Average is down to 45p now though which I think represents good value. I don't see any sense in selling off the Canadian arm either, it seems to be by far the largest part of the business. I ran over the 2008 results and money doesn't appear to be an issue. Reading between the lines, plant & property is up from £32m to £81m which would fall in line with the amount of turbines they've commissioned. Cash levels look ok at c.£16m and borrowing is at a managable level c.£22m. Can't see any scary sums in there, they made a loss last year but that would fall in to line with a large investment of turbines. The revolving credit facility of £20m was renewed in January for the next 18 months, let's hope they can manage that debt and hold on to prize assets.

Me too, I transferred some more money in to my trading account yesterday earmarked for this, but it takes 3 days and I've no trading reserve (by choice). At 34p it was looking like a great opportunity to bring my average down to 42-43p but I'd settle for 45-46p to be honest. Was doing a bit more reading up about them yesterday too, AIM POWER GEN look to be a serious player in the Canadian energy market. With three farms generating income (total 120MW) and many more in the pipeline (totalling 1,100MW output), they've a good revenue source.
