RWE's Canadian arm is called AIM, I think that may be causing some confusion. And yes, they have operations in the UK as well, so after the buyout the company will continue, with far more money to utilize.

Shareprice compiles posts from all the share forums, mine were on iii, where I rarely post. You threw me a bit there. I had a peak on iii to see what the consensus was over there, and found someone else mentioning 65/66p cash boost to current SP. I'm not really in here for the short term. The company is making the right decisions, creating shareholder value and paying a dividend of around 3% (although they did announce today they were cutting the dividend to 0.5p I believe) and long term I'm hoping to see 150p here. iii posts are more prevalent, lots of useful info on there

Long term looks great providing an uptake in the technology, that may be sooner rather than later. Great day for RWE today, after sitting on a loss for the last few months. Patience paid off, more through necessity and faith to be honest. Have a peak at it, the offer looks cast iron and adds 66p per share in cash. Your thoughts would be appreciated, as always. Need funds for elsewhere, not sure if this is ever going to fulfil potential

According to most recent accounts, net assets are £87m (As of Dec 08) but a large proportion of this is the Canadian arm that it being sold (£54m according to today's offer) So after the sale the assets of the business (UK operations) will be approx £33m, excluding the cash for AIM. If I'm reading this correctly, probably not, the offer of £67m is a premium to the book value (£54m). Does this represent good value?

Have you sold yet or are you holding on for a while? fitzy, The offer equates to £67m and the current market cap is £58m, It sounds like they are going to accept the offer so at the moment the company is valued at less than this cash deal. I need to have a look at the fundamentals a bit to see if there was any cash prior to the deal but on the face of it I think we could squeeze a few more pence up to 65p. That is valuing the business on the cash offer and doesn't take in to account anything else (debt, order book, cash in hand etc)

Re: enemies. I don't think the person has an issue with you, it's far deeper seated than that. I've also got no issue with anyone shorting this, it's their prerogative and I hope to be able to smile when my decision is proven to be correct.

I saw your message last week but it had already shot from 31p to 36p (I think) and presumed I'd missed the boat. I need to sell in order to buy these days as I'm all cashed out. I'll have a look though, should be able to scrape a grand together!
