Kenny - I understand it is a forward looking statement but is fairly meaningless. Hopefully management will be being paid on what they have delivered, not what they might deliver in the future. Unfortunately a lot of promising businesses seem to pay the principals on what they are promising to deliver, not what they are actually delivering.

Scepticism seems to be a very valuable trait to have when investing in promising businesses (or reading too much into what a politician says and actually means when they use a phrase like 'upto' or 'ambition').

Does that mean more than 1? It is a very vague statement.

I am thinking about selling shares in my prospective business that will invest in land and then raise funds to plant a soft fruit orchard. In the end this business model will be monetised by either selling jam sometime in the future or by selling the concept to other struggling businesses who will pay me to refine the model in due course.

Seems a sound business model if I can get people to pay me a wage whilst I work it all out.

As long as he does not end up like Paul Flowers, the Meth(odist) minister. Not sure if he was keen on co-op(erating) with authorities about various irregularities.

The Sunday US papers are suggesting that the White House and the Democrats are close to agreeing a $1.8 trillion package to help the US economy. It will be interesting to see if the GOP will give the deal the nod; some Senators seem to be getting close to distancing themselves from Trump as his election prospects dwindle and agreeing a package may not play to their own electoral bases if they are facing re-election (35 GOP seats I think).

If they do not get an agreement through this week it probably will not get through before the election and if Trump then loses there is no way that the GOP will give Biden a gift as it would be political suicide. If there is no package the US economy is going to get holed beneath the waterline and the house of cards will...

The Speaker keeps reminding the CONservative ministers that they need to make policy announcements in Parliament, not in the press. Today the Chancellor announces 'an "expansion" of the Job Support Scheme' for 6 months. At 11/5 Sunak is the clear bookies favourite to be the next CONservative leader with Boris to leave during summer next year at the top of that market. Making the announcement on a Friday gives them 3 days before they will need to answer to our elected leaders.

So even the next expected CONservative leader is offering a big fat finger to the Speaker. And the CONservatives only need to extend the scheme because of the trouble they got us into and then made insufficient track and trace plans whilst encouraging people to go out and start reinfecting each other (eat out to help the rich?) just before sending schools and universities back with the accompanied spike in infections.

I feel insulted and it was no mistake in the timing by the CONservatives - simply an extension of the disdain that Boris and his merry band of Brexiteers treat the electorate; if you did not vote for them it does not matter; if you did then you are considered to pliant to complain. The sooner Boris is convicted of a crime and sent back to the country he was born in the better.

Share price falls and people claim people want cancer patients to suffer - just maybe the price got too high for some shareholders and now sells exceed buys.

Surely we are due some sort of update soon? The volume today at such a discount to NAV indicates some are getting bored whilst others seem to be getting bargains.
