Surely he should be self-isolating at home AWAY from his family?

The current doubling rate is 11 days. In a month, that increases infection rates nearly 7-fold. Hospitalisation lags about 10 days behind testing, so current hospitalisation rates are from under 30k a day infections 10 days ago. If GOV let the spread continue at the current rates, then we will have a couple of hundred thousand infections a day in a months time.

Yesterday, 717 patients were admitted by the NHS. At current doubling rate there will be well over 5000 hospital admissions a day by the end of August. Schools will not be able to open safely, and the economy will be in peril. If citizens can do the maths, what is wrong with GOV?

Are they that ideologically wedded to their plans that they think the costs will be worth it? I am most fortunate that I do not need to go and mix with potential carriers to earn a living. Will Freedom Day be remembered as the Day of the Great Mistake? Will a grieving relative attack the State or a Politician of High Office?

When I was a kid, Measles and Chicken Pox were diseases to be scared of, but mass vaccinations of babies have removed those problems like the Polio vaccine did for the generation before me.

The precautions taken in the first waves of Covid were to protect the Vulnerable by limiting the spread through the youth and younger people, thereby protecting the shielding until vaccination. Now, GOV is letting the Virus spread through the unprotected and protected with the public taking on responsibility for a disease they cannot see and that many have little idea how badly it can harm them and their family.

All for short term political gain. GOV was going to be guided by the Science until the Science became inconvenient. In a few weeks they will have to backtrack and introduce new measures as well as recommend children are vaccinated if / when children's wards start over flowing.

If GOV's policies end up killing tens of thousands more and given a hundred thousand long Covid, I hope they are convicted and sentenced for the harm.

Too many thought it was all over with Covid; demand spiked and shortages in the system caused price hikes that dampened demand just as Covid comes roaring back, so everything is stalling again.

But over the next decade the demand for minerals from the power generation, transportation and consumption sectors is going to be greater than current depleting supplies, so many minerals will benefit.

I am no mining sage, so my 2 pennies may only be worth a half penny, but I expect VMS deposits to be the most lucrative investments, especially if they are promising exploration assets with high grades and a growing resource estimate. I am biased, but think MAFL's Portuguese deposit falls into that category.

There is confusion about what percentage of the resource MAFL own - most are unaware that MAFL have first refusal n the residual 15% of the project owned by the Portuguese GOV and may still end up getting it on the cheap. Even the free carry of 17% of the project is worth significantly more than the companies current m/cap.

Listening to 5 Live about the new wave of Covid. Doris seems to want herd immunity, but it cannot be achieved without vaccinating the youth.

The youth are their own herd - surely that is not to simple a concept to grasp.

Surely it more than negates inflation and becomes an appreciating asset? I have copper investments because I expect demand at current price levels to outstrip current supply and supply that will be coming on stream over the next decade. Same with silver, so any deposit with both minerals becomes even more interesting.

They are acquisition hungry - no doubt they expect their remuneration to increase with their additional responsibilities? So was the purchase 100% in Shareholders interests or will the additional wages they can expect an influence? Nonetheless, I bought a chunk a while ago for the 'build back better' post covid environment so am not unduly upset with the acquisition other than the price the placing was done at. The 5% discount is little for the amount raised but the share price dropped 10% in the weeks leading up to the announcement.

A video Kenny put up yesterday evening was a reminder of the diversification brought by the purchase as some of the target companies' lime is used in paper, chemical and agricultural processes. If the share price drops much below the placing price in the next 6 months I may be tempted by buy a few more.

My only complaint / concern is if management end up better off by growing a bigger business at a slower pace whilst earning a larger salary / other remuneration.

I have a chunk of SigmaRock shares. The company has an m/cap of £250m and have announced an RTO of a company 1.5 times as big as themselves. It seems a fair deal, but you can grow to quickly and end up toppling over.
