Unless you have shares in a battery company, I think you are OK. But I would not be keen on taking part in the Northvolt IPO unless I was certain that they could (a) use this tech and (b) it would not cost much to retool their production lines.

I think we all know the winners and losers in the battery races are not known yet; even the list of runners and riders is not clear. I have been keeping an eye on StoreDot to see if they live up to their promises (super speedy and no cobalt).

Nissan is in the news with plans to release cars with solid-state batteries in 2028.
