Interesting article... basically, nobody knows what happens when quantitive tightening gets going. But many think QT will add a few percent to interest rates in addition to interest rate rises because of inflation; undertaking QT during inflation coupled with a recession must make for more volatile conditions than we have been used to.

Maybe the crops would have responded better if the sowed seeds had been treated with a peptide that stimulates an abiotic stress response [or even treated after sowing with a similar foliar treatment]. Even better if the treatment leaves no residue and is considered a green or organic treatment.
