but some interesting research has just been posted in EBio Medicine, a Lancet publication, where research has shown that a strain of the family of LiveBiotherapeutics that 4D are using in their CV19 and Asthma treatments is effective against viral infections of the lungs:
"Intranasal administration of Bifidobacterium longum 35624® or its isolated cell wall prior to virus inoculation significantly reduced viral load within the lungs and significantly improved survival. Reduced viral load was associated with reduced lung injury as suggested by cell death and vascular leakage markers, a shift from neutrophil to macrophage recruitment, reduced inflammatory cytokine levels (including IL-6), reduced type 1 and 2 interferon levels, but increased levels of interferon-? and surfactant protein D. These protective effects were maintained when the bifidobacterial cell wall preparation was administered 24 h after viral inoculation. The protective effects were also observed for the Bifidobacterium longum PB-VIR™ strain."
4D are using Bifidobacterium breve with MRx4D0004, which produces the same anti inflammatory effects in the lungs.

Yes a Nasdaq listing appears to be nailed on and perhaps more relevant to this fact is Tuesday's Micro MRx platform webinar and the breadth of American analysts present and answering questions . Representatives from Jeffries, Cantor Fitzgerald, Jones and Co, Ladenburg Thulmann and Bryan Garnier & Co the Company's joint broker.

100 million nerve cells in the gut and 4D, with the MRx platform, appear to have unlocked the door to the way the trillions of bacteria in the microbiome interact with the rest of the body. The LiveBiotherapeutic space is rapidly maturing and we are invested in one of a few major players (arguably the market leader) in what could be the holy grail of medicine.

This is very tongue in cheek but the truth of the matter is that up or down, none of us know where the trades are coming from.
Given the story here and the pipeline of news expected over the next few weeks and on until the end of the year, does it really matter.

The initial stated aim of the trial, using MRx4, is to stop patients progressing to oxygen requirement and intensive care. If that's not a treatment then what description would you use.

"delayed prints" yes that's just referring to the delayed trades but take no notice of the price or if they are marked as buys or sells. On a big volume day like today, many trades will show up late and the price shown will be when the trade was actually executed., so it's vitually impossible to asign them to the correct side of the order book, buy or sell. They are already baked into the cake.
The only price that counts is the share price, at the end of the day and as a rule of thumb that's the one you should follow until you become more experienced and perhaps employ some more sophisticated tools to help you in your trading.

I notice a few poeple have been questioning whether the $D Covid 19 trial will have the same efficacity as the SNG one.
This excerpt is from the rns announcing the 4D Pharma CV19 phase 2 trial:
"MRx-4DP0004

MRx-4DP0004 is an orally administered, single-strain Live Biotherapeutic currently in a Phase I/II clinical trial for the treatment of patients with partly-controlled asthma. To date, 20 patients have been dosed, with no drug related serious adverse events. In preclinical studies the Company has previously shown that MRx-4DP0004 is able to significantly reduce lung inflammation and impact particular immune cell types and pathways which have more recently been implicated in the hyperinflammatory response to SARS-CoV-2 infection.

In a preclinical model of severe asthma, MRx-4DP0004 significantly reduced airway inflammation, including a reduction in the number of neutrophils, eosinophils and activated dendritic cells. The LBP candidate also reduced pro-inflammatory cytokines in lung tissues2. The systemic immunomodulatory effects of MRx-4DP0004 have also been demonstrated in additional preclinical models of inflammatory diseases including multiple sclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis."

I don't believe there's anything to add, other than the fact that if successful, 4D will have a treatment for CV19 without the need for a nebuliser.

An indication in this sense is the area of medicine within which the vaccines would be targeted.
As an example a vaccine for CV19 would be one such indication.

The interesting point to my mind is that the 4D Pharma/Merck collaboration for MRx0518 and Keytruda wasn't backed up by any financial commitment on the part of Merck if MRx0518 was successful and it is. The contract is for 3 indications in the vaccine field, so to all intents and purposes MRx0518 is open and up for grabs. That said Keytruda is market leader in oncology immunology therapies and 4D appear to have an excellent relationship with them. However, buisness is business and I would imagine Merck will be only too aware of the interest 4D are likely to attract from other large Pharmas who have their own check point inhibitors. Roche have Tecentriq and Astra Zeneca have Imfinzi with many others in development.

Okay we are talking months rather than weeks for MRx0518 but DP is openly talking about getting expediated approval for the drug in combination with Merck's Keytruda. One of the many key points, as they keep stressing, is the safety profile.
It's the safety aspect that so many drugs fail on and we do not have that problem with LiveBiotherapeutics, including MRx0518.

There do not appear to be any issues on the safety front in the comparison with placebo:
"The interim analysis demonstrates that Blautix has a safety profile comparable to placebo, with 3% vs 2% patient discontinuation in the drug group vs. placebo due to adverse events (AE). There was one recorded severe adverse event (SAE) in each arm with no relation to study drug, and mild or moderate adverse events reported in 24% of subjects for both Blautix and placebo arms, indicating that the treatment has no increased adverse effects compared to placebo."
As you suggest the next stage, assuming a positive end result of Phase ll, will be Phase lll in partnership with another pharma.

Yes Mr Google tells me the ESMO is in just under a months time, which would be ideal timing.
Can throw some light on their scientific terminology for the IBS trial for us mere laymen please, in particular "not futile" - "The interim analysis of the primary endpoint of the IBS study (described more fully below) shows that the study is not futile and 4D pharma plc is encouraged to continue the analysis of the full trial data."
