Anyone know when the trading statement is.

Seems to be a lot of retired people who write on these boards, i am also retired, wonder if it since 2008 when the crash and interest rates went crashing down that quite a lot of retired persons thought they would try and make some profit from share dealing, i know i am one of those.
Up to press not doing to bad, but now down a bit on my building shares, i think they will come good in time but i think it is going to be a long time.
I think today will be a down day due to house prices that they have brought out.

Results out today down nearly 7% wonder if the market is going to hammer every builders Results this quarter, stupid really because every one is bound to be bad due to lock down.

Speech has done nothing for the builders share price.

Again TW out performing BDEV, and some others as well.

All those topping up or averaging down could be playing a dangerous game with this one, there is nothing to say this will survive, i myself are invested here at 77 and very nearly sold on Friday at 64, imo this is not looking good at the moment, if there is a second wave and they keep delaying the opening of cinemas round the world this is in trouble.

does a lot of people on these boards keep saying their is more buys than sells, or visa versa, for every sell there has to be a buyer, and for every buyer there has to be a seller.

IMO the only way at the moment to trade shares is to sell when you are in profit and buy back when they drop, and that includes all shares, at the moment all shares are going up only to drop back.
If you watch them they usualy have 2 or 3 days down then they go back up for a couple of days. I have got caught out on this one with being a bit greedy.

Posters on here are now changing their minds a little about this going from saying this will be 100 next day and blah blah blah, now some of them are changing their minds, there is only one thing to think if you think it won't go belly up you stick with it, if you think otherwise you get out now.
Myself i just don't know, i broke my rule and did not sell when i was above 10% in profit, now i am down above 10%, a company can't survive forever without any income coming in, so the longer this goes on and the more risky it becomes, but it is up to the individual to do what they think best.

Again a buying opportunity.

It was saying in this mornings paper that cineme's are being allowed to open on 4th July.

Looks like HSBC are putting a buy signal on nearly all house builders, got a price target of 900 for this.

Up yet builders down, yesterday ftse down but builders up, strange.

To see a rise today when ftse down.

So true Seed, these are not going to go up until they have got covid19 under control, the cases are going up in the USA also Germany and many more places, it wont be long before they start to go up here as well, the protests these last 4 weeks are doing no favors for covid19, we will be lucky if stay above the 75 mark for the time being anyway.

Always seem to bring good news out when it is going to be a bad day for the ftse.

Government are going to push major building projects next week including house building according to the daily mail, so we could have a good week next week especially if they reduce VAT and stamp duty.

futures down above 100 points could be a bad day first thing Monday.

You all could get your chance to buy in Monday, according to FTSE future's it is down a 100 points so shares could be down first thing Monday

I will stick with BDEV bought 10000 of them the other week at 425, they just seem to be on the backfoot at the moment, it's strange that TW has done well after the placing, unless it is something to do with them paying the government back the furlough money.
I am thinking the government might lower the stamp duty in the next few weeks so that should help them.
We should be OK so long as we don't have another lock down.
