RE: Numis26 Nov 2019 07:37
Hi Nero,
Thanks for your thoughtful reply, and it got me thinking about that long period of the cyclical market.
Firstly, my original comment (Mon 10:11) was about the share price and only the share price, and in my post of Mon 11:46, I explained why I say "no chance". I should have added a bit about how, for years, I have been reading forecasts of the "big rise soon" about the gold price and gold stock share prices - it never happens. That is a big factor in my gloomy view - constant let downs by these predictions of massive gains.
To be fair, "no chance" is a term that slips easily off the tongue, or keyboard, and, I do recognise that there is a chance that it will happen, but the chance is negligible - in my estimation - about 0.1% chance - so "no chance" is only a slightly inappropriate term.
You say - "when the next bull market reaches it's peak" - I agree with you that the price will be many times higher, but when will that peak be?
We aren't on completely opposite sides of an argument here. My phrase of "no chance" was a rushed and poorly chosen expression, but, above, I have clarified my position on that point.
Let's hope that 0.1% chance comes up against the odds - "It could be us", to borrow a slogan.
