Caravanboy, I have just re-read my posting and I think the tone seems rather harsh. Sorry about that and it wasn't intended as harsh criticism. It was just a rushed bit of writing and I didn't pay attention to the tone.

Well done on your forecasting skills FK. You have been right all along, and the others have been wrong.

I don't see how you can say "seems as if the company are totally on top of what needs to be done" and "hopefully they will put procedures in place to make sure this can’t happen again" in the same comment.

If they have to put procedures in place after an accident, then they weren't totally on top of what should have been done.

Since we don't know exactly what happened, I make no comment on the company or the events of the accident. This posting is purely a comment on what I see as the illogical nature of the earlier posting and a comment about how in mining in general, procedures should be in place to prevent \ avoid accidents, i.e. in place before the accident and not being put in place to make sure it can’t happen again.

With regard to JTD's point about respecting the relatives - TSG could make a preliminary announcement expressing sympathy and say they will make a full statement later.

Twitter? I was under the impression that companies are legally obliged to make announcements of a price-sensitive nature as an announcement on the stock exchange, i.e. RNS, before anywhere else.

However, if they have confirmed it, then it is tragic for a man to suffer the ultimate loss.

Agreed about sad news, the poor man and his family deserve our sympathy. I find it odd that we haven't had an RNS from the company, but it will probably be out soon.

I see that Jim Sinclair (or his partner Bill Holter) has published that gold chart from the Clive Maund site, but not acknowledged the source. They must see something of interest in it to have posted it.

Did you see how quickly he resorted to abuse just because I said it might have dropped to 42p? You know, 42p was within that pennant, and it could have hit 42p before it broke out. We never know how many times it will bounce off the bottom line of the pennant before it breaks out.

My overall view was for a rise, but his intolerant, bigoted and infantile mind couldn't take the truth.
