Exactly. Bearcast is bad news normally and I'm surprised. All has been going well and still is to my understanding and am on the verge of topping up. What's the problem?

Don't know to whose advantage misreported buys or sells are but mine today was definitely a buy and was reported as a sell so I have to wonder about at least some of the other trades.

I'm sure you're right about youngsters not shopping where their parents do but at Marks it's more likely to be that grandparents and other elderly relatives should be the marker. Marks customers are mostly old and actually aiming for the up to 80 year olds doesn't work for me. I think the poster who mentioned 40 year old underwear said quite enough and probably too much. That sale might have pleased him, assuming it is him, but it's done Marks no good at all in repeat sales. They lost the plot years ago when retirees were loyal customers who bought all their wardrobe there. They banked on them and did next to no planning for the future which is now here.Now there are less each year.The shops which were acceptable then look outdated and some will almost certainly have to go. I also think it's totally wrong to knock successful competition. Neither BooHoo nor Asos sell cheap crap. They sell what people want to buy and are extremely successful at what they do as are Primark. They know their market and they serve it well. Marks know their market too but it's getting smaller and Mrs Claus won't help but I'm pretty confident that Archie Norman will. He has a history of success and can turn this around in my opinion and, additionally, he's topped up his holding. Good luck all.

Very expensive because a succession of CEO's have wanted it that way and completely misunderstood the market they were supposedly in, selling clothes principally. The clothes last for ever or seem to but who wants that? Fashion, by it's nature changes constantly and fashion wearers, otherwise known as customers, buy constantly, dispose of what they're tired of and buy more. People who rejoice over 20 year old shirts don't. Surely Marks should be aiming at the shoppers. They're the last remaining high street chain store of the Bhs, Littlewoods, Woolworths type and their stores still have that appearance. The customers are mainly elderly or old. Spot the youngsters. Apart from tourists who went in the wrong door there are precious few if any. Fashionistas are elsewhere buying stuff that they like today but won't in a month's time when they buy again. I hope Archie Norman has some ideas because nobody else seems to.

Wouldn't be surprised about the promoting. It was how I lost on this and for not enough research of course. We live. We learn not to listen ( or do we?) .

If he expects the company to succeed, why would he sell until the price improves at least? The fact that nothing is signed suggests that there could be friction because an agreement would have been in the interests of all and he has expressed willingness to sign one.

In Marble Arch store today. A Sale but pretty quiet and dull. The dreary supermarket floor tiles at the entrance say everything. A chain store from the past that fancies itself with high prices and wonders where the younger .customers are. Will they ever come here? Hopefully, come September things will improve

This share is not far off it's base level and, in my opinion has a long way to go. Look at the director buys and how much paid. Look at the share price of around 10 years ago. This looks to have huge potential and appears to be very competently run. Patient holders should find it worthwhile

I queried this with broker this week. Not had a reply as yet but on Friday noticed that Leader Smart shares had been added to the portfolio listing but without a value as yet. This will probably take a short while but somethng is happening anyway.
