Hey thought Id post on this board let the fellas over on FDI work over their 'issues' :) Im in GEMD as well! dipped a toe last week at 190. Also a holder previously, lucky enough to get in at 125 although bailed before reaching the heights of plus £2.50. Can you see these dropping lower? Trying to time my entries right but want to make sure Im fully loaded for the recovery we're hoping for. Oh and any opinions on STEL? firmly on my watchlist, was actually in WAD and lost lets say a small WAD on it but managed to bail at 16p after the RT. Looking cheap now but always questions around funding, might well grab a few add to my diamond portfolio which Im planning to build around this company! Heres hoping nothing goes massively wrong in the process :)
Had it with this share, 20% down since 'vote of confidence' by the Directors which were hardly inspiring, get the impression they were just averaging down like the rest of us. Divi cut, renegotiating banking facilities, can't see us getting a leg up here any time soon. And why is it that everyone I speak to about to about this company can't find a good word to say about them. I'd sell up and stick it in FOGL, its paying off for me so far today :)
Look pretty decent to me, nice to see the SP responding positively! Should see a continued rise up till ex div on the 15th. and beyond hopefully, still undervalued in my honourable opinion :) http://www.investegate.co.uk/Article.aspx?id=201009060700051670S
No idea really mate, around 6%?! You don't work for Panmure do you? :)
I'd ****ing hope so!! :) A chance that is! ;)
Good question, I see it hovering somewhat around this level, was floating around 27 - 30p not long back and that was before the bad news. Still if James gets his takeover wish or Pettite gets his arse in gear then maybe we could ROKet!! :)
Yeah good to see Moomin chairman joining us in a top up, 250K is no mean amount either, Stephen Pettite with a £5000 buy? not so impressive!, come on get your cheque book out lad! Good day here overall here, maybe holding a little more ROK than Id like but I guess our averages are considerably lower. might flog a few if we creep up to mid twenties but got to keep reminding myself this a long term play. If/when the markets recover this ROK could be a nice little earner for us, specially if the divi is maintained in the meantime. Enjoy your ruby! I don't know, reckon we've done well enough on here for you to treat yourself to a little mixed kebab to start, at least don't skimp on the pickle tray! :)
Yes, slightly infrequent poster due to work etc but important week this week. Im in both rocks! this one and the hopper so hoping at least one does the business. Oh and Im in 100% agreement with you, disappointing to see the IIs bailing but oviously they couldn't take the risk of a CNTy situation and surely leaves us in attractive position for a takeout by competitors and the like . Nice price rise + positive noises over the weekend from Garvis Snooks, may sound like a moomin but if as he says, the problems are confined to P&H only we could be looking at a deeply undervalued share :) Had another sneaky top up at 19p close of play today, so guess that doesn't bode too well, although I noticed Panmure (You're **** and you know you are) have downgraded to sell which is always a good sign :) So D-day tomorrow, is it going to be a King prawn Balti or a beef vesta for us ROK PI's?? sure you'll have a good one either way :)
Hmm prob a delayed sell from the 12th, a number of II's dumping including BT! Wonder if Snooks will put his money where his mouth is tomorrow!?
ROK-ET, SOLID AS A ROK, ROK BOTTOM???? Lets hope our faith is repaid on this one, hope it does shoot up but personally I'd be happy with the middle option!
Pleased to announce that the short short term strategy has been executed to perfection! So much so that Im actually bullish about ROKs prospects! and wouldn't mind us doing a CNT tomoz! Good luck! Lets be careful out there!
So you really are Sundancer, nice magic trick there! Hey if your new tips half as good as your last one then Im all ears. Actually I wanted to repay the favour with one of my recommendations, although it'd prob do you more harm than good, no its not ROK ! Hows about we share info and see which puts in the strongest performance in the next 6 months time :) Although the way things are going I might **** off on a surfing holiday myself to escape this market misery!
Told you Jeff, a sell recomendation from me means a guarenteed rise the next day. I hope you had a hangover and didn't get round to trading until the 7% rise ! Always a toughie taking profit,,, to be fair when I sold around 50p things looked like they were starting to get a bit lopey on this share! we're on a massive uptrend at the mo, totally against the run of the market so as the Sundancer says :) maybe hold on and enjoy the ride. + what the **** do I know anyway, Iv had my hands full averaging down on ROK today, not happy, still least be beat Hungary ! I believe the abbrieviation is LOL.
Maybe I should heed your warning this time round, although seeing as you quoted sell instead of strong sell Iv decided to ignore it :D
Well my strategy was pretty much the same as yours, hoover up the divis and £1 exit, sounds a little too easy in hindsight! Going to have a long think about these but I reckon I can stay in for the long hall. Got my average looking pretty respectable before todays crash and now doubled up so theres plenty of scope as long as ROK has a long term future. Bit wary about the significantly below market expectation warning for 2010 profit, hope that doesn't mean massive loss !! + if things are that bad divi will surely have to be cut. Just thinking me and you being swift to top up can hardly be seen as a confidence boost to this board, sorry everyone! :) a certain marine safety company springs to mind :) Anyway good luck mate, oh and my short short term plan, after the day my portfolios having is to finish work early and go prop up the bar.
Thought our paths might cross again at some point, pity its under these circumstances though, like meeting your old next door neighbour at a funeral :D Hoping like you this has been overcooked a little after the mess those CNTs are in, but have to say Im a little nervous about the situation, do you have a plan of action when these drop another 30% on results day? :)
Oh dear!!, Looks like the lad Osscus called it right, and these were holding up so well. I take it everyones averaged down or sold out, 50% drop so Iv had to double my holding, hope we don't end up looking like CNTs on here!
DON'T DO IT LAD!!! if anything do the reverse of whatever I say :) No I just think if a share gives you a 100% return the onus is on you to take something out!. Just wanted to advise that I sliced some off and still feel quite comfortable in this share,, + of course if it drops you can always gett back in with cheaper shares! :) Lets hope the rise continues though eh!
Really?? well Im sure you wouldn't take credit for someone elses tips, :) Nice one mate, and it was a long way back, remember posting on CGM? Well despite the name that share was the complete opposite of a gold mine for me but done quite nicely on here. Looked a bit dicey when we went sub 20 but was convinced of the fundamentals and held through. Wouldn't be in here if you hadn't of flagged it so thanks again :)
Agreed, TITAN performance by this share. I cashed a chunk out @50p ,, half thinking Im a t*** for doing so but it keeps rising and am still making money on the remainder so can't complain really. Might be worth taking a slice out then you're not going to fall out of love with TSW either way. Special thanks to a lad called Sundancer who brought this to my attention way back when
