RE: SBI tipped for 2021 in today's Mail on Sunday4 Jan 2021 11:13
From what i've heard from experts, lateral flow will never be good enough, without a few rapid in succession tests, to beat pcr and even then! It's accuracy rate is about 60%.If sbi can carry on getting revenue in the short-term/medium term from and profit then they will have a good cash reserve to re-invest in research in other areas and buy new non-covid related businesses surely?
I'm not a mathmo *at all* but a cash rich business is a a definite benefit.Somebody on novacyt board said they are trading at a p/e of 30.Not sure if this is correct but surely a p/e of 13/14 is much more reasonable.
I did wonder why it is suddenly moving though. The Daily Mail!
RE: To hit £2 when data published ? Thoughts4 Jan 2021 10:06
They did a big placing relative to mcap just a few months ago so should have a few funds available.Hopefully will get a few big pharma sniffing around on further good readouts.Wouldn't surprise me big pharma potentially wanting in before phase III if positive.
'Cause I'm movin' on up, you're movin' on out Movin' on up, nothin' can stop me Movin' on up, you're movin' on out Time to break free, nothin' can stop me, yeah!
It's always a rubbish spread.I'm not sure but i think the free float is quite low.
It's not much traded until news and fab don't put out alot of updates. The company usually only provides material updates out of the blue every 3-6 months!
RE: Yorkshire Post Business Reporter 2021 Pick4 Jan 2021 09:26
Nice find.Gerrard has almost 4% of the business too and Fionan 5.63% (managing director of Rinocloud). The directors in total must own circa 10% of the company.
I would say data is the next oil (look at all the nasdaq computing companies and where they are and what they basically do - crunch data to give you search results (google), use your data to advertise to you (facebook), use your data to recommend movies to you (netflix) etc..)
What is rinocloud's contriubtion to the dvrg stratgey?: ai (data!) for real time observation and management of water/wastewater.. etc....
Hopefully n4p progressing well with their studies on a few fronts and will surprise us all pleasantly sometime at their own choosing (or when the work is finished)!
Richard Griffiths is a major shareholder.I wonder if the positions might be connected to one of his companies as they're reportable, fairly big positions and it is odd for pis to have such big reportable positions with spread betting companies.I doubt it's AXA Framlington anyway!lol
No.The shorters are a previous bond holder.I believe their position is being converted into equity in the new company.I very much doubt they will have to close. They wouldn’t have agreed to themselves being shafted like that when they agreed to the deal. They won’t be short the new company though.
True.I hate ramping boards but sometimes a share does go no trade for retail for whatever reasons, even not on the day of an amazing rns.Pis are always at the back of the queue!
Hopefully we can get rid of these lockdowns and all get vaccinated soon!
On the evgen front with the spread betting firms (i still don't get why they are so interested in the company - anyone have any idea?) and low float i can see this being impossible to buy on any sniff of good news.
We know the company was never a 'one trick covid stock' as it always had undepinning, revenue generating businesses seperate from covid. However took a temporary hit from TW.
The companies expertise and integumen's/modern water's already existing research/tech was just there at the right time to find a new addon business in terms of revenue. This was lucky, as combined with avacta and dell's expertise, research usually takes years to materialise into new saleable products.
I'm still really hopeful for microtox boxes and wastewater epidemiology side in particular as the company started with a real head start.
I also believe in the future wastewater epidemilogy has a good chance of having a part in the future monitoring of covid outbreaks.
