I am here because of the dividend , which is unfortunate as i thought the dividend would make this a safe investment , however i could of not made a worse mistake. However , i believe a company will always work towards paying dividends to its shareholders which is a matter of priority to entice more investors. The fact Talos dont pay a dividend is because of their financial situation with amount of debt and lack of funds to develop new fields. Once we merge i believe this share will be much stronger and will enhance their position as a global oil and gas producer.

Not exactly the rally i was expecting but an EPL floor is better than none. I guess either $80 or $60 brent average would be ideal for us. How does the hedging affect things?

Ronnie , you don't get it. At the moment Harbour are getting taxed on every cent , however with a price floor Harbour will get taxed from that point only and the rest will be profit !

Still be alot better off with a floor regardless though.

Ronnie , we will be much better off if the epl floor tax was $60. Brent at $75 ,Cost per barrell $15 to produce , keep profit up to $60 so $45 profit per barrell , and then the final $15 taxed at 75% .

Y11 - stop trolling , the companies can't set the price they sell at because oil is sold at the Brent benchmark

Talos will be a dream come true for me and the exact reason why i have invested in this share.

Oil always tanks before the FED interest rate meeting Rookie :-/ , hopefully the Talos merge news will limit the SP tank tomorrow , however it may be another buying opportunity if it dips in the low 230p range again. Will be an interesting signal to tell us how confident the market is in this merge deal.
