Let me try and stop the confusion. Rockhopper have an extremely narrow portfolio of assets congregated almost exclusively in one geopolitical zone. It is and always will be high risk, not least due to oil price uncertainty.

Therefore, it is probable that the mcap will never equate to asset value: this has limited correlation to the amount of cash that the business is capable of throwing off. A very large free cash flow is likely in the event of development (which still has uncertainty).

RKH will remain a high risk company throughout it's entire life cycle unless it can diversify and feed off the energy transition.

Dividends would be preferable, the SPE manual (Bible) is clear about declaration of reserves (2018 amendment). It would be much fairer to the real LTH's to RBL against SL for further expo/appraisals and keep a div going against FCF for phase 1 and 2.
