I would love for a major holder or new investor to come in here with a 1p+ premium funding. But let's be honest, why on earth would they. That makes absolutely no financial or business sense. The past several production figures have been decreasing, funding is increasingly harder for the company in this state. I would expect a discount on share price for new equity not a premium, if you are a major investor risking large sums youd want more of the pie the more you risk, they arent friendly charities. I have seen people in AIM shares say any day now an investor will come in with a huge premium to current share price. Only for them to be wiped out, heavily diluted or the company liquidate on no funding offered.. id wish for 1p+ but expect 0.25p -0.5p..

Id be highly surprised they get anything away at prev close @ par even. They keep asking for money and production is falling not gaining, why would anyone pay a premium for that, with such constraints the terms are really in the new investors/creditors court now. Any raise or new debt issuance i see being at painful terms

Will keep that in mind if i decide to exit over this week, there are some phenomenal opportunities out there currently, Africa is having a bit of a gold boom too

Painful is an understatement. They are in one of the best gold environments in recent history. oil is trading at lows and they still cant make the company operationally viable, they say if you give 100 monkeys type writers they will eventually replicate a famous authors works. maybe we should of added a 100 to the board so they could actually replicate a functioning miner.

Sell at a huge loss and put it into an actually reliable and solid miner. or let it run and hope for the best. im leaning towards the first. Hopefully it doesnt keep falling while i decide.

Im pretty sure in the last update before this they are going through the results and will release shortly. Given the previous drilling results an segilola im not too worried about extension, but they have to add the new satellite deposits they tested to the survey. Think they are just running late.

Both companies are great, undervalued companies who offer short term catalysts. I really dont understand the collective attacks on both these boards to undermine people and their shares.

Pedro said on the THX board yesterday he sold to top up there... I never understand the toxic, personal attacks on people who are just being honest because it simply goes against that persons outlook. Thats what these boards are for but unfortunately too many people are like this which is progressively making alot of these boards unhelpful and toxic places, scaring away the real, meaningful contributors.

Willz, agreed they did say they have potential to extend the tax free timeframe. Segun did specify that there needs to be evidence of continued investment and expansion etc for them to obtain this. THX would need to show the government they have a substantial resource or capex investment needed to mine out satellite deposits for them to receive this. I believe they will have that evidence, but until they have a proven resource update im not one to speculate.

Pedro, i dont agree with the discount but i believe we are were we are SP wise until the market gets clarity. I am also a MTL holder. unfortunately i sold a large chunk in the 8p region to top up here, so while up massively here i missed the larger rise over there, very nice timing that though, well done!

Hard to tell, how many years mine life can they squeeze out of segilola, can they get a 0 tax extension in nigeria, what are the other exploration results in the other mines going to look like? Where is gold going to be next year? I think until there is a proven mine life extension announced to markets and Gold remains at this levels, i can see this trading at its huge discount still. Thats the true ceiling for this stock in the short term.

I would be lying if as soon as I read that headline, I didn't instantly think "So China can just steal the tech, processing and manufacturing techniques". Not taking away from the good news, short and medium term sounds great news, its well known that is exactly what China does, stealing of IP and the techniques or production is well documented. hard to weigh up longer term if its good for this company. especially as they no doubt can manufacturer them at alot less cost eventually, and its a long term strategic play to have all rare earth and energy supply chains heavily reliant on them.

Arent we meant to be getting Sengola drill results any time now, was meant to be completed in Q2 right? Douta results due this quarter too, although i suspect that will be September. I havent been on this board much, i tend to only review commentary on shares that i think have known risks so i can way up a balanced view. THX isnt a share like that for me anymore so i dont need to review my investment here, great position to be in.

From that post it looks like they are eluding to ECR digital being a crypto holding company, investing their profits into crypto assets. If that actually is announced ill be hoping for the crypto ramp and pump so i can exit at B/E

I am here for a gold producer, not someone who wants to turn my investment into a spin at the crypto arcade, i can do that myself if i feel like losing money. If i wanted that, id by Strategy or the other share ponzis out there doing similar share models.

The cash needed for ongoing exploration Segun confirmed to be c.$10m annually with no plans to increase even with drastically increased cashflows. Segun specifically said that increasing this would just lead to inefficient spend and waste. Capex for Douta even with increased dividends are more than covered, besides the company has better debt options given its stronger debt convernance metrics and very healthy balancesheet which may be more efficient than paying all with cash, also makes the company less of a hostile takeover target. Then you have the sheer size of cashflows being produced at these unhedged gold prices.

In short there's plenty of free cashflow to raise the divi and add buybacks from here with no impact on future capex spend for new mines and future exploration.

Reinvests posts didnt point to just one cut. The Fed will want to eventually bring the rate down and most likely with several rate cuts, at that point its no longer as much of an opportunity cost holding gold instead of short end Tbills yielding 4.5%. Hence why the gold price has dropped after subsequent decisions to keep rates at the levels they are. Usually cutting is also seen as the FED worry of slowing or deteriorating economic conditions, that is also is a positive for Gold. so yes it is very easy to see gold at 4k If rates are cut by 100-150bps. and the big banks agree given some are forecasting 4k gold now.
