No one knows where the share price of any company will be one day to the next. Its all IF IF IF, IF my Aunty was my uncle.... IF Drahi was to buy some more BT shares, BT share price would move up considerably like it has done previously.

So true mate, some people unfortunately don't have a life, so take their frustrations out on these discussion boards. They try to take some comfort in a depressed share price, in hope that someone is having a worse time than themselves. Sad to think that they would stoop so low. I truly pity them.

Barbacoa, good article mate, this could be the catalyst that S4 Capital need to help recover the share price back to a more respectable valuation.

Just a thought, based on the above analysts earnings forecasts, SMS has said previously that the BoD would consider paying dividends in future. Maybe once S4 start to produce a profit we may be in for a dividend. My guess would be in 2025 for the first dividend, S4 could pay a £20m dividend paying in the region of 3.5p per share, leaving plenty of spare cash for M&A or share buy backs. This would attract more investors/pension funds that would help recover the share price back to a more respectable valuation. SMS is a smart guy, this may well be his objective.

Jcj07, I would have to agree mate, it makes you think how someone in his position can find himself in a position where he's become a forced seller at what may prove to be somewhere near rock bottom prices. Poor financial planning on his part to say the least. considering that his S4 Capital salary is only £175k per annum, (according to SimplyWall.st) yet he's raised £2.8m to pay his tax and other expenses. I only hope that he's doing his job better than running his own finances. I would also think that other directors aren't best pleased either, to see one of their own selling such a large position. Not a good look. It just seems like one negative news on top of another, that is knocking the share price down. IMO.

Jcj07, I share your concern with the ever decreasing share price. What I would say is that the director needed to sell some of his shares to pay his bills, so not company related. What I would advise is to take a look at what the latest analysts predictions for future earnings over the next 3 years should help reassure some confidence. But having said that, we are many months away from this potential good news.

Yes I saw that off book trade yesterday after market closed, the price would indicate that it was a sell. ADVFN also had it as a sell.

I'm not sure where you have received your information mate, but according to the LSE website the largest S4 Capital trade so far today is 21,238 shares.

Conditions to ease for S4 Capital, says Peel Hunt

Advertising group S4 Capital (SFOR) may have had a tough first quarter, but Peel Hunt expects the environment to get better from here.

Analyst Jessica Pok retained her ‘buy’ recommendation and target price of 250p on the stock last week which fell 3.8% or 5.2p to close at 130.8p on Friday.

The group delivered £219m net revenues in the quarter, with reported growth of 27% and like-for-like growth of 7%, and left guidance unchanged. It did confirm a share buyback that will see it snap up to 5m sharex ‘to offset the dilution caused by share options issuance’.

‘While the performance for the first quarter is at the lower end of the guidance range, comparables for the remainder of the year will get easier,’ said Pok.

‘S4 Capital is seeing a stronger growth rate so far for the second quarter. Even though no profit numbers are disclosed, the number of employees is down 2% versus end-2022, giving comfort that costs are under control.’

Pok said the shares are suffering alongside other marketing services businesses, trading on 11 times full-year 2023 price/earnings ‘despite, on our numbers, set to deliver a three-year earnings per share compound annual growth rate of 19%’.

On a positive note the latest analyst earnings forecasts have increased for next year 2024. Profit forecasts for 2024 have increased from £59.233m 27/4/23 to £69.850m 11/5/2023.

At 13:32pm there was a large trade, reported as a buy @132p for 385,000 shares. This trade made no difference to the share price, doubling the amount of buy trade volume that now stands at 659,000 Sells 312,000. I've come to the conclusion that it's not going to make any difference to the share price whatever the buy volume is, this is being marked down, looking like we are going to test 100p, I will hang fire, and load up when the market has stopped this manipulation.

I also noticed at the start of trade this morning, in the first 16 minutes of trade there were 21 trades with 19 buy trades against 2 sell trades. Buy volume 14,154 against sells 901, yet the share price was marked down.
