Auson, yes I would agree, along with Franklin Resources 67m shareholding who have been heavy buyers of S4 shares over a number of months and currently S4's largest shareholder. Looking back to 19/2/24 Third Avenue Management shareholding was 26m, it now stands at almost 62m. Both FR & TAM may well be stake building on behalf of a client. We could be in a bidding war soon if my suspicions are correct. Of course this is just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Looking at Morning star data, Third Avenue Management have been large buyers in S4 Capital increasing their holding by 17,617,896 total holdings 61,784,281 10.7% on 31/3/2024.

Sorrell has learnt his lesson, playing down earnings expectations for this financial year, so that he will surprise to the upside, and please the market, but probably not until the second half.

Also, bringing in a COO is a masterstroke, a new experienced pair of eyes will tweak things and hopefully move S4 Capital in to profitability for the first time.

24/3/24..."Source of information....... Bloomberg. Just taking a look at S4 Capitals largest shareholder Franklin Resources, looking back to Q3 2022 their holding was 1,883184 shares. Today they own 67,446,588 shares 11.46%. That is quite some holding acquired over the past 15 months. Their largest quarterly increases to date have been Q4 2022 @19.2m, Q3 2023 @28.5m & Q1 2024 @16.2m. I wonder if they are stake building on behalf of a client?"

Good morning GoCPI, volume data over the last 4 trading days have been the largest 4 day period in the history of S4. That in itself should tell us all something. Remember no one rings a bell at the bottom of the market. I enclose my earlier post above regarding S4's largest shareholder Franklin Resources who managed to acquire so many shares under the markets nose, with notice. Interesting times ahead with regards one low-ball offer turned down. With S4 turning over £1bln over the past 2 years any offers that would get managements attention would have to start at this at this price to get their attention

Full year 2023 earnings: EPS and revenues exceed analyst expectations

Full year 2023 results:

UK£0.009 loss per share (improved from UK£0.27 loss in FY 2022).

Revenue: UK£1.01b (down 5.4% from FY 2022).

Net loss: UK£6.00m (loss narrowed 96% from FY 2022).

Revenue exceeded analyst estimates by 4.5%. Earnings per share (EPS) also surpassed analyst estimates by 86%.

Revenue is forecast to stay flat during the next 3 years compared to a 2.9% growth forecast for the Media industry in the United Kingdom.

Over the last 3 years on average, earnings per share has fallen by 28% per year but the company’s share price has fallen by 57% per year, which means it is performing significantly worse than earnings.

Volume is 3X daily average.

WOW what a day, closed up 11.09p 26.75% @52.55p

The two low ball bids that were most probably laughed at, may well flush other out. Weekend press may report something.

Large buy trade just gone through @50p for 257,718 shares. May well send this higher.

I think that the likely predator will be WPP. S4 Capital pipped WPP to the purchase of Media Monks after they made threats towards Sorrell if he was to take MM.

Interesting. It very much looks like someone will take S4 Capital out. A weak share price makes S4 vulnerable.

Tiddlers may try and low ball S4 Capital, we want the sharks to show their hand, step forward WPP. We already know that WPP was pipped to Media Monkes @£266m with threats made to Sorrell if he purchased Media Monks.

I suspect that smart money is moving in on the back of the below comments yesterday. IMO, S4 Capital share price will either be re rated or someone will re rate it for us with a credible takeover bid. Predators are circling. The Times quoted a source saying "everyone's looking at it". Two low ball offers by Stagwell & PE. Jam today or jam tomorrow.
