I'm not sure that I agree with Morgan Stanley opinion with ITV heading towards reporting full year results that will be very strong, expected to beat 2019 results, before the dreadful pandemic struck. Then we have Q1 results shortly following FY results, I'm expecting record advertising revenue. With ITV currently trading on a very low p/e I think that there are very good reasons to be optimistic for this year, not forgetting another advertising boom with the World Cup starting in November.

Maybe the reason for the 2% fall this morning.

Broker Morgan Stanley downgrades ITV from over weight to equal weight.

Yes on 26th December troll Tom advised ditching ITV for retail companies Next, Sainsbury's, Halfords, Tesco & M&S. No Christmas break for Tom. Sad but true.

Never is a very long time. If or when ITV receive a takeover bid, and it will happen at some point, ITV will go for a lot more than 170p. Not that ITV need a bid to recover, they are a well run company. I don't ever need to sell my ITV shareholding, so I'm quite happy to hold. I will have the last laugh, that I can be sure of.

So Next disappoints the market with their results and BINGO the shares go down 2.39%.
