Yes I can blame the current BOD for record advertising revenue this year and most probably next financial year too. Not many companies have come out of the pandemic in a far stronger financial position than ITV who have cut debt by 33%. Many have had to raise cash.

Tom blames Carolyn McCall for is investment in Easy Jet, with Carolyn being the CEO of EJ at that time. Tom didn't hang around for the inevitable recover, he didn't give Carolyn enough time, his loss. At the end of the day we all live or die by our own investment decisions. He has no one to blame than himself. No excuses for hanging around stalking the ITV discussion board for over 2 years. Some people live sad lives.

26th December.......... Tom... " With the Full Year results not coming for a few more months the ITV share price will languish, potentially fall. Not likely to be any dramatic news for 2 months.
So that is a potential window of opportunity to use that ITV capital elsewhere, then buy back ITV before the Full year results.
So lets open this up to discussion. Pool knowledge here. Where is the best place to put your ITV holdings for 2 months.
I personally am a fan of the retails trading results in January. A couple of weeks of Christmas retail results that make or break companies. It is high risk but it therefore pays to spread your investments. I can make 5%-10% a day or lose it, immediately after a company posts results. If it goes right then aim to sell by 9am when the biggest of rises will have come through. If results are bad then sell at 8am.
So a Calendar of sorts for January. Sorry I had to compile this myself and could not find anything good posted yet:

My personal picks would be Sainsburys, Tesco and M&S (I am a long term holder of M&S).
Please all contribute. I think there is money to be made in January. Increased food sales and spending on certain items with covid. The potential to use your ITV capital productively and then buy back with maybe 10% - 20% more shares in February.

Trupcard, I enclose what Carolyn McCall, ITV Chief Executive, said below at the first half 2021 results. ITV are in very good financial shape, and IMO will announce to pay a 3.3p dividend with the full year results. Followed by a progressive 5p full year dividend.

Carolyn McCall,,,,,,, "We are optimistic about the future, despite the ongoing pandemic risk on our advertising and ITV Studios revenues. We know that the dividend is important to our shareholders and we intend to re-commence a progressive dividend policy based on a notional dividend of 5p per share which we expect to grow over time. The first dividend under the new policy would be a final dividend of 3.3p per share proposed at the full year results in respect of 2021."

You're obsessed with Carolyn McCall, who you blame for losing you family inheritance in Easy Jet. If you had only given her time? Didn't she do a very good job at Easy Jet? You clearly hate Carolyn who you wished covid on. Now that is unforgivable, you deserve to serve time for that. I thought you said that you were going to take a back seat? I was just sharing what I thought LSE ITV board members would be interested in reading. Like I have already said it's up to the individual to make of it what they want. This is what I try to do, share good or bad news regarding ITV.

ITV closed up 1.55p 1.36% while Next closed down again 134.00p 1.72%. It's a good job that Tom knows what he's doing. Lol

No I haven't added to my ITV holding. Still considering my options. Happy to continue holding what I believe to be the most undervalued FTSE100 company, with little downside, but with plenty of upside. I never need to sell my ITV holding so I see it as a win win situation. A nice position to be in. At some point the market will agree with my valuation.

BielsaBall, I would never purchase shares or advise anyone else to purchase on the back of a takeover rumour. Although, I'm inclined to think that there maybe something in Goldfingers takeover comments. Time will tell.

I take everything that I read on discussion boards with a large pinch of salt, you do have to learn to separate the wheat from the chaff. My opinion of Goldfinger before he made this comment (re takeover) I would have put him in the wheat category. His comments were always very good, he's very knowledgeable, he clearly knows market and he's very articulate with his comments. Have I changed my opinion of Goldfinger since he made this takeover comment. No I haven't changed my opinion of him.

Goldfinger has been a ADVFN member since July 2018 and made comment on ITV since then if I'm not mistaken. He claims to have worked on Wall St & London. He claims that he has loads of contacts and works in NYC.

IMO, Goldfinger isn't a ramper, he's a very knowledgeable poster. While I don't personally know him and I cannot vouch for his comments. I ask myself what would he gain by starting a rumour that isn't genuine? He would lose his credibility that he's built up over 3.5 years, it would also be out of character. Another poster over on ADVFN said that Goldfinger has previously tipped another company to be taken over and within a few months it came to fruition.

Like I've said previously, I cannot vouch for Goldfingers comments. It will be interesting to see what happens after Jan 17th.

For anyone that may be interested Goldfinger a ITV poster over on ADVFN who claims that ITV will receive a 192p all cash takeover bid. Read his latest update. I cannot vouch for Goldfingers comments, all that I will say is that Goldfinger is a long term ITV investor and also claims to have worked on Wall St & London stock exchange with contacts. Make of it what you want. Anyway, I enclose the link to read his comments below.

From my research Jan 2022 TV advertising market is up around 15% to 17% year on year vs a weak Q1 2021, but still ahead of targets. Very early but agency estimates for this year are up 6% to 7% year on year. This bodes well for another record year for TV/VOD advertising market. It's all out there Thomas.

All that I will say Tom is do some research, something that you admit to not doing. You never know you may just may learn something.

Broker JP Morgan increases ITV price forecast from 210p to 215p.
