Tom, yes I understand that most teenage kids won't be watching tv, (most not all). You missed my point yet again Tom. When I was a teenager, I was never indoors for one reason or another, mostly out playing sports. Kids today are unhealthy compared to my childhood days.

While Toms advice to all ITV shareholders would be sell up and run for the hills. Maybe he should listen to his own advice and sell his underwater retail shares Next & M&S.

While I'm not saying that there won't be any bumps in the road ahead if there is a conflict with Ukraine & Russia, history proves that this is the time to buy the market, not sell it, but Tom knows best. Lol

Equity strategists at JP Morgan reiterated their call that investors should 'buy' into the dips in global stocks, pointing to oversold readings on stocks heightened uncertainty and the 'market internals' to back up their case.

In particular, they noted how their Vix signal had entered 'buy' territory during the previous week.

According to Mislav Matejka and his team, historically, whenever that had occurred outside of a recession, the S&P 500 was to be found standing higher one and six months later.

To that one could add technical indicators, such RSIs, that were now flashing oversold signals, and market internals that remained pro-risk.

"We continue to believe that one should be using the dips as the opportunities to add, and favour Cyclicals, Banks, Commodities, against Defensives such as Healthcare, and Tech, where we reiterate our Semis downgrade from [overweight] , done in December. Our [emerging market] exposure basket is up 6% ytd vs market."

"We believe that indirect China exposure could be an even better way to position than direct, through longs in a range of global cyclicals such as OW Mining and Autos."

Indeed, the strategists said they were overweight EM versus developed markets and within the latter preferred China, Indonesia, Brazil, Russia, Saudi and Thailand.

In particular, they highlighted how several of the factors that argued against exposure to China at the start of 2021 had now improved.

"At the start of last year the investor sentiment on China was complacent, hurdle rate of activity very high, policy was in tightening mode, and Chinese asset prices were at highs.

"All these four factors are more favourable currently. The general sentiment on China is cautious, which is good, as an upward surprise is much more likely. China activity indicators are near the bottom of the trading range. Policy is clearly not tightening any more, the imperative is to deliver 'stability.'"

Furthermore, EM had outperformed DM during most interest rate hiking cycles by the Federal Reserve and this time around, if one looked at their current account balances, EMs had "relatively smaller" imbalances.

I suspect that you're being economical with the truth there Tom. You had said previously if my memory serves me correctly on the M&S board that you had almost given up on the 250p, the price that you had originally purchased. You then claim to have added £100,000 to your M&S holdings when the share price was about 250p - 255p.

Tom, I very much doubt that you will answer this question, but what's your average M&S share price?

Well done mate, I hope that ITV makes you a fortune. While I'm currently underwater at the moment in ITV I'm pretty confident that I won't make a loss. ITV are cheap as chips, so long-term ITV will do just fine with far more upside than downside to the share price. My largest holding is BT, I expect to double or treble my investment in BT over the next 5 years. I always invest where see value, it's worked for me for 36 plus years. I will leave fly by the seat of your pants investing to rookie Tom, who admits to not doing any research before purchasing a companies shares. Priceless, just priceless. The gift that just keeps on giving.

Sharkz, I do think that he lost money in something to do with Carolyn McCall. Because he holds a grudge against her that's eating away at him. For him to wish covid on Dame McCall he's lost a lot. It cost him his marriage and family inheritance according to another poster who claims to personally know him. I advised him over two years ago to go see his GP and get the help that he clearly needs. Needless to say he didn't take my well intentioned advice.

Tom had never made any comments on any other discussion boards until I pulled him up for it, he claimed to hold shares in Shell, then M&S, when I pointed out that he had never made any comments in any other company other than ITV, a company that he doesn't own a bean in, he then made a few comments on Shell & M&S. Toms so transparent its unbelievable. I wouldn't trust a word this Troll says. I don't think that he owns any shares in any company. He's a fantasist, a big fat dreamer. As for his job? He always finds time to post a comment every day, within a few minutes if I dangle a carrot in front of him. So no he doesn't hold a top job, far from it. He's probably living off my taxes.

I have no doubt that Naked Trader was trading ITV for many a year, but you missed the point Troll. The Naked Trader took a long term trade in March 2021 of £150,000 and added to his holding in November 2021, he now holds around £165,000.
