The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Odds are shortening on Turkey being the first country to buy BTC as a reserve asset. First ridicule, now resistance and then capitulation.
AlphaOmega: "We know roughly when he dropped below 3% from Argo updating their shareholder listings"
When do you reckon that was?
I am pretty sure that PW has been coy on the topic for all of Feb and March, implying that the application has been in for 8 weeks or so. That is reported to be the current lead time so if all is well I would expect to hear in April and hopefully in days.
Rickards hates fiat for the same reason that bitcoiners do but has looked increasingly nutty over the years. He rates himself highly as a market visionary and sells his predictions in a range of fringe newsletters. His enthusiasm for gold may colour his opinions too. He used to be close to Max Keiser but I wonder if they have fallen out now. The NYAG closed their case against tether over a month ago. Ultimately BTC is supported by growing acceptance and scarcity from the 21m limit as opposed to the unlimited supply of fiat or even tether.
I know people have said before which ISA's they prefer but I cannot find an option to search on this board.
I used a T212 ISA last year to buy ARB to hold long term. It worked OK with the zero fees charged but the bid/offer spread forced paying over the odds for top ups. Difficult to BTFD too with T212. I am wondering which ISA for the coming tax year.
Anyone got suggestions which broker's ISA gives best value & market coverage for a broader crypto based portfolio? Ta.
look at your tea leaves. Mine say £2.65. Complete shot in the dark though depending on BTC.

I heard that Sure Ventures were involved with Pluto as well. Anyone know about that?
Supman, Have Rickards or Kiyosaki softened to Bitcoin then? The former used to hate it from memory!
A burgeoning religion with real challenging faith tests.
(Long term holder here, before I get accused)
Great.
Growth or Value, Pearls? This is a growth stock. People buy for the potential. If you don't see further potential in Bitcon and its mining then read up on it/listen to Saylor, Kaiser etc or stick to the stamps.
HL mention Bitcoin just once in the article, saying it is something you can speculate in. They are implying investors would not buy it. Manipulative and inaccurate.
" I believe the US authorities have recently banned certain crypto in New York"
You believe wrong.
You refer to the NYAG yesterday settling their case against USDT. Charges that USDT was inadequately backed with assets were declared to be unfounded. Stop spreading FUD
NYAG letting go of their Tether case is a relief..
Shrewd
"I know tomorrow that £20 will be worth c. £20."
that c. is the important bit. UK money supply increase around 15% last year. Do that for 5 years and your £20 is worth under £10 in its buying power. The design of BTC avoids this debasement of currency.

Who do you loan from against your BTC? Thanks
I understood that people borrow fiat using crypto as collateral for tax efficiency. Blockchain and Blockfi offer this but not in UK. Someone probably provides such a service here though.
What does that tell you? Genuine question. Thanks
I reckon BTC and crypto will make gold less desirable for corporate and national treasuries putting downard pressure on price. Crypto adoption may also help asset (inc gold) price inflation but I have still switched from gold/silver mine shares for ARB/KR1.
