Ahh those days... I seem to remember being on another board then and some guy had literally put all his retirement savings on BEM... only to see it fall... fall.. fall... I think he's no longer with us.. I'm hoping that at 49 I might see some kind of return before I move on too! ;)
That's is why I am grumpy... I nearly sold at 20p (like most/many of us)
Good homework Trojan. 2.4 forecast.. I think more :)
Thanks for the homework advice Jess... Unfortunately for me I have been invested in this since the first big spike in 2010.
For those of us who have been involved for the last 23 years, we have been on a long and bumpy ride... This will be backup no doubt. But my homework is my experience. Both good and bad.
I'm sure we would all love to keep reading your advice though. Please keep it coming.
I will still remain staunchly grumpy until this is at least 15p.
I am quite amazed at how sticky this SP is... there has only been good news coming out. And although the gold levels are not astronomical, the stuff is in the ground and close to the top which means chap open cast mining does it not?
How is this SP not moving at all? Because actual extraction is a long way off...? Or another reason...?
Good to see the NPV raised significantly. Even if the $852 is at current prices, it does show a valuable resource and investment that will quickly be paid back once production begins.
"which increases the NPV8 from US$177 million to US$852 million using current spot prices."
Time to top up!
Just wondering out loud really. If we jump through all the hoops of licencing etc. Get to the point where the resource is 100% going to be mined. What happens if a big multinational buys the rights to this resource (not BEM but just that resource)?
Would we as shareholders get a share of that sale? Or would the value of the company simply explode and we'd then need to sell off our shares to realise any gains (excluding any JV possibilities).
Genuinely hilarious! :)
Just managed to average down quite nicely... (unfortunately still 70% down! but should come good in the next year or two).

Nice to hear some details around timelines, dates, targets that are realistic and measurable. The target of 2026 is one that I think is achievable (even if it is not BEM that takes it to that point). I do feel confidents that with each study/permit/plan there is value being built into the company. Probably ready for someone to take over once the details have been ironed out.
My only question is whether or not to begin building a larger portfolio in BEM over the next 12 months while still relatively cheap. My caution is the unknown mid-term issues that might arise leading to a mid term drop in value, and also the opportunity cost of investing elsewhere.
Choices. Choices.
Just nice looking targets to follow up on. The more we find that indicates possible mineable resource the better. Nothing immediate though IMHO.
Deeper... but oh yes!

I reckon we'll be back to 20p within 5 years!..... ;) hhmmmmm....

Nice RNS. Not many drill holes and nothing above 5g/t on gold but good too see such a variety of metals and consistency across the whole site. Very encouraging.
Some algorithm / investor must see some value in slowly picking up 000000s of shares with mirco trades over a series of days....
Why all those buys at exactly 1,700 shares?
Anyone with more knowledge than I able to explain?
Not a lot of time for anything major... we'll see.

I believe (hope?) this is true. The silence is almost deafening, think it too strange that we have heard nothing at all. To me that does hint to some rather delicate and protracted talks going on. Combined with the hurdles that need to be jumped all make for a more detailed negotiation.
Clearly news/information that is sensitive cannot be announced to the market. Even if we want to hear that Kurt is in discussion with x or y. It's just not Ok to say that in public. IMHO etc.
