Yes, I like the look of this one for a further potentially significant run-up over the coming weeks and months. SYP has nearly trebled primarily on sentiment towards bio-degradable plastic stocks and BIOM fits into the same category but is playing catch-up in the re-rating. I like the cash position. the solid balance of the RF business and the fact that they are moving into ebitda profitability and even slightly increased cash for the half year. BIOM would be trading at about �9 if it had m/cap parity with SYP.

For FBT my feeling is that if they show signs in the first quarter that these POC's are starting to be turned into contracts then the shares should do extremely well. They have cash for about the rest if this year although I envisage they will want to raise on the back of good news around mid-year. If they pick up a couple of decent contract wins that backs up the bullish statements about Blackbird then the shares should re-rate and enable a funding at a higher range. Q1 news flow will set the tone / price action for the year ahead one way or another.

That study is nicely timed and a peer to peer study highlighting such good results is the best document FUM could have for getting an optimum licensing deal for MED or, potentially, being taken out.

The efficacy and safety profile is so good and the study isn't just a repeat of existing rns released data there are other measures analysed that show statistical significance. I think 2 pounds would be a low take-out but my guess is that institutions would call the shots here. I suspect they have pushed FUM to get a deal before phase 3 trials due to being unhappy with the share price and likewise would accept a take-out at 2 pounds plus. That would still give FUM a lower m/cap than the likes of Immupharma who have yet to complete phase 3 and have a similar size market. Hi Razorman, a nice run on WSG! Re. FBT - the statement came form the relatively new CEO who said that in the results statement with regard to all the existing clients and new clients he has met since his appointment. On their website they state they have "the fastest solution to edit, produce and publish sports and news highlights." If it's their patented Blackbird codec that enables that claim, as I believe it is, then it could be an industry game changer as he suggests. At current burn they have about 9 months cash left so they need to start winning contracts. The new CEO has a good track record in doing innovative deals albeit at higher levels with the BBC and Turner. I wish they were more investor front facing but I suspect they will more forthcoming if and when the POC's are turned into contracts. Ian McDonough on his 'debut' blog' said they "easily" have the most POC's that they have ever had in the Company's history. I don't think he would risk a blot on his successful career and join a small cap like FBT unless he was convinced he could make the Company a commercial success. He states his reason for joining was Blackbird and he thinks it is a 'game changer'. Next three to six months will be pivotal.

A desperate attempt by shylock to put a downbeat spin on a very positive appointment. Frankly I don't care if he works 18 hours or 80 hours as long as he brings home the BBC and major broadcaster deals and clinches additional eye catching revenue enhancing contracts. The questions to ask are : why would someone who was head hunted by the BBC (left with a glowing endorsement) and Turner join FBT? The answer is the company looks to be in the right time and right place to conclude what will be transformational company maker deals from a low starting point. The other question to ask is will his appointment will enhance the prospect of concluding transformational deals with the BBC and the major broadcaster? With his track record and connections the obvious answer is a resounding 'yes'. Whether he works a 37 hour week or a 60 hour week is irrelevant. I doubt whether his other directorships will interfere much and these type of driven entrepreneurial business leaders tend to be workaholics anyway.

This looks an excellent choice and clearly FBT have taken their time to get the right man who will hopefully conclude the two current transformative potential deals (BBC and major North American broadcaster) and add more. PC, yes, that makes sense. A commercial deal with NBC or a broadcaster of similar stature would be the long awaited breakthrough for FBT and most likely a company maker deal. I still wouldn't rule out Rogers because of the recent Canadian reseller deal and of course management attended Canada prior to that. The second half of the year should be interesting with the pilot project, poc with BBC, new CEO and other bits and pieces such as seeing how esports contribute with the gfinity deal. Deals seem to be concluded quietly without a costly CEO and if it is, as it appears, the right product, the right place and the right time, then customers will come regardless of who is at the top. So quite rightly they are taking their time and there is no rush. No doubt the market would like to see someone with a successful proven track record in the sector take the helm though.

Bruin does fit the innovative criteria but not really the' sports rights holder' which is also referenced in the rns unless I have missed a major part of their business. If Deltatre were instrumental in securing this pilot project then that would suggest that the 'major' is Bruin Sports as they acquired Deltatre last month. Equally, with the recent Canada reseller agreement with F2 Technologies, they may have brought Rogers Communications to the table. NBC has to be contender but a commercial deal with any of these or one of similar stature, which it will be as it's depicted as a 'major', will do! I note the RNS described the company in question as innovative as well.

Nice and quiet here which is often a good sign. I wonder if the two recent videos have been initiated by the new Sales Director who has been fairly quiet after her recent appointment. It shouldn't be too long before a new CEO is announced. It's an important appointment and I am glad they are taking their time. Meanwhile it saves a bit of cash along with the departure of Jason Cowan. Very little stock available 55,000 online with shares tightly held at current levels by institutions and p.i's. Decent risk / reward here with little downside due to the healthy cash position and two potential transformational projects - BBC poc and North American broadcaster pilot. With SS holding 40% there is always the chance of a predator making a move as well. Given SS's holding, however, it makes it relatively easy for a keen acquirer although it couldn't realistically be a hostile move. I'd love to know the figure that would tempt SS to relinquish. Not likely just yet but if one of the two deals is sealed then that starts to put FBT in a different category and it will probably start to get a takeover premium built into the price. Medium-term downside (6 months) is in my view roughly down to 5p but upside is anyones guess but obviously significantly higher than here if one of the two deals are concluded. If the company were listed in the U.S or just coming to IPO I think we would be looking at a £50m plus m/cap given the sector growth and the patented right time / right place technology. Short-term news driver will probably be the CEO announcement.

Yes, no doubt they were able to use evidence from the BBC POC. I like the fact that the RNS emphasises that it's the patented elements of the FBT technology that are *required* by the client. That will be obvious to long-term holders but I don't think the broader market recognises the patented strength FBT have in the cloud market that finally seems to be taking off. Aside from 'major' they call the client 'innovative' which again bodes well. I've no idea who it is though. It's good to see FBT come to life again and just one of the pilots with either the BBC or North American major becoming commercial will see the company multibag and, ultimately, if SS gets the right price, be acquired.

lodan, I don't think 'no rns' prior to the expiry of the POC agreement on 30th April necessarily means the contract has lapse in terms of progressing to a commercial deal. As we have seen, FBT don't always put their best foot forward and have been a bit shy and retiring of late although I thank them for confirming and clarifying on this POC point. Who knows the broadcaster may wait to get all the data ( a bit like a biotech trial) and analyse the cost savings and only then enter into final negotiations and commercial roll-out. I'll have to listen to the proactive interview again but I think Aziz, rather excitedly, said something along the lines that as long as cost savings were established then it will progress to a commercial contract. Dealing with large organisations can take a frustrating amount of time so I wouldn't assume 30th April POC / 1st May commercial contract, but I hope FBT are a little bit more market savvy and keeps investors up to speed. As long as the pressure still remains on the BBC to cut costs then it should be a given that they progress something that helps them with that objective. That's not to say it is a given but just that it should be. I think there are two other near-term factors that can help re-rate the share price - a new CEO (If the appointment is liked) and Schroders completing their selling - but a commercial deal collaborating with Apple for the BBC should transform both broader investor perception and the fundamentals of the Company. Naming names for any commercial deal will be very helpful but I am not sure Apple will allow.

Prettyinpink - here you go:- I was a bit disappointed the POC contract wasn't mentioned in the results. I have been in companies where important agreements have lapsed and the market hasn't been informed. This POC agreement was highlighted by Aziz as "potentially the most significant" deal FBT has signed. On that basis alone there should have been a reference to it in the results. So I contacted both the pr company and FBT and have had confirmation direct from the Finance Director that "the POC contract is continuing and will not complete until 30th April." It wasn't referenced because there was "no update to give" in other words it is as we were in the last update at the funding in December. To slightly adjust a well known phrase from elections past ... "I disagree with Nick". I think this deal is important. A resulting commercial deal collaborating with Apple providing cost savings for the BBC will multiply the share price from current levels I suspect. Aziz implied that as long as cost savings were proven the POC would progress to a commercial deal and rolled out into "different departments of the 'broadcaster'. The results were solid if unspectacular and there is enough cash for about three years without additional growth. To be honest I'm not invested to see if FBT can breakeven in a year or two. I'm invested because one of the major players is possibly either going to partner or take over the Company. Apple, it appears, is already collaborating but as yet not on a commercial deal. If the POC becomes commercial then that's when things should take off. Schroders leaving the scene will also be a help. Hopefully FBT can get a good new CEO soon and one of his or her first tasks will be to turn the POC deal into a transformational commercial contract. I assume as Aziz resigned he will not be getting a pay off beyond his leaving date.

Another KENV would be nice but I think it's very clear they will opt for a resources stock that reverse into PIRI. If it was viable then I suspect something like Oyster Oil and Gas on the basis that GUN invested for a reason. They also have an investment in Oyster and the advisor for the latter has declared Oyster are likely to come to AIM and, in his words, will do very well. With Paternoster having 25%in PIRI then I think they will call the shots rather GUN or should that be GUN shots ... sorry :-) Hopefully they will make a move soon whilst there are still some value or distressed sales around from the sector.
