Fail to see what that story has to do with Wetherspoons. I can’t imagine Wetherspoons being top of the list for visits by tourists. If anything, the U.K. might have its own public as a captive audience if the rest of Europe doesn’t get its vaccinations in gear.

Some of this is money arriving in bank accounts this week will go into Bitcoin.

I’ve got $1.6k in Bitcoin. I bought it using EToro as I had a very small amount of cash spare in my trading account. It sits in my portfolio like any shares I hold. They charge 0.75% to buy. If I want to withdraw the Bitcoin for cash it’s just a flat $5 (five dollars).

Yes it’s the shame about the ISA thing. I asked for £2.5k. I await!

Good points raised. Wish I had more time to investigate in more detail - as a newbie to trading rather than my current long term holdings. I’m going to take a small punt on the basis that previous acquisitions have been well received. There will be lots of company restructuring required post covid. The risk here is the amount being raised - much higher than in the past. This share is a long term steady riser I think. But what do I know - only trading since the new year.

Have you closed your position? If I had their shares I’d hold. People have short memories with regard to bad publicity if they like the product. I’ve made money out of Wetherspoons, despite their chairman telling his staff to do one and go and work for Tesco.

I’ve done very well with ordinary FTSE350 shares this year. Is it still worth a speculative punt of £2k at the current price? I can afford to lose the lot, but obviously prefer not to.

It’s been a great share to trade over the past year, knowing that it should double again over the next 12 months

I dipped my toe in first thing this morning, losing 10% within 30 mins. Doubled up earlier this afternoon. Almost even now. I’m going to stick with it now as it seems it could generate a good return in the next month or so.
