Price going up and down is nothing to do with how much their investments are worth. Price is based on the buying and selling of vela shares, the more bought than sold, the price goes up. Of course if investments are worth more, people see value and therefore buy shares, though in AIM it often goes under the radar. Please remember share price is linked to how people feel about a share, NOT the same as the value of a company. Hype and news has much more to do with the price of a share.
Thanks that make sense, all beit a bit rubbish on HL part, hard to know where you are with it.
But it has gone down today for example but my gain/loss says no change. Why is that?
Hi. Just a question please. Why does Vela go up 47% yesterday, but on my Hargreaves account it hasn't moved at all. Does it delay or something?
No, hence why share price is influenced by news so much. What influences share price?
Low supply and high demand raise the price of a share, while high supply and low demand lower it. When news and reports show good performance of a company or forecast growth in its sector, demand for its shares grows and the stock price rises accordingly. It's not just about a company, but how well the directors sell it to you in the RNS. Good marketing is more influential on a share price
Just because gold price may rise, it doesn't mean our share price rises. We have investment in a mining company, even if when mining, they make lots of money, share price is linked to how much of the company people want.
We need to take that investment out the equation. It's too late now for a covid drug. Missed the boat, surprised they haven't already pulled out of it. Shares go up based on supply and demand. Even if it were a successful trial, people aren't going to invest in something just because it is good, it's got to make money somehow
I'm trying to shift through all these messages to work out what has gone on today. Was the RNS good news, bad news or just less than what people expected?
How do we know what Pharm2farm ar going to be charging? They haven't given prices yet have they?
I wonder if the new director, who is a director at many companies including fortoak direct Ltd, will sell these new masks through fortoak as well. I do hope so and they get rid of their current supplier
I believe in the company though. Sounds a very solid idea that could really change other companies fortune with cash flow. As usual though with Aim we need solid BoD to actually get this moving and not sell out as soon as they can sniff some hefty profits
I know, just seems a particularly high amount that they own. I don't think they would sell now, To me just seems to need to get more news flow to up the shares percent owned by public to more than 5%.
If they sell big amount of shares, then share price will drop significantly. They did this in RMS. They become millionaires and we all suffer
I'm invested here, but just read that insiders own nearly 90% of shares. They could wipe us out any time they feel. Little worried now!
Correct, I don't know the terminology etc, but I know how things work and I can give opinions based on what I know about how business operates and the language they use. Not advice, just opinions. If it's a good business the SP will look after itself, if it's a new company, then it's very likely the SP is based on the news flow and how this is perceived. I get that that is what Aim is all about, just I think If we give both sides to a story, then better judgments can be made and people will hopefully come to their own decisions, rather than just plain rampers with no information, people investing too much because all they see is green lights, then loose much of it. Such as RMS when people were buying at 6p and now either stuck or sd out with a massive loss
Thanks. Not after sales talk though, after if anyone has some personal insights and thoughts. I like to get a balanced thought process.
But without the Pharm2farm the SP was around 0.30p, so these masks will have to sell very well to keep the SP at this rate and above. Really good example of an SP based on expectations rather than results.
Can anyone share more detail and current status of the nano plant food please?
Good luck all. Genuinely hope this is a long time hold and growth opportunity for all. This is one of the most valatile shares I have seen.
I think particularly in the UK, we are a country that doesn't like change or to be told what to do, so we will be getting them off as quick as possible. The general economy recovery rates shows we just want to get back to normal as quick as possible. We are not a nation of changers or revolutionary
