Wishbone Gold Plc : Red Setter , Paterson, W.A: Potential History25 Aug 2025 12:13
As folks will know, This is Money and Proactive Investors UK have just released an article about Wishbone Gold Plc [WSBN]. This relates to Greatland Gold, stated to be 1 of AIM great success and that from the backwaters of AIM comes Wishbone Gold Plc & so forth. Proactive's title: "AIM's Golden Child?". So, yes, potential history here and not from my mouth.
I have read the discussions in this forum this morning and at noon and they are a few thoughts:
[1] There are many people now on this forum and it will be like during the days of Greatland Gold. Same lines of postings and the CEO was subject to the same type of "popularity" lets say it that way? Same here. In fact, after the Havieron was JV, all went silent for obvious reasons. No MRE, PSF, DFS was done and it was only on around a 9-10 holes result [Phase 1 & 2]. But in fact, it was the Phase 1 [Hole 1-5] that already hit industry ears and they rang to congratulate Gervaise the CEO of Greatland. It was Hole 5 in particular that was of interest.
But on the Greatland forum on this site, as usual, folks said NOT good enough ie Hole 6-9 [or 10]. Next moment, all went quiet and one morning , Newcrest had JV'ed in for 70% potential farm in with details. The rest is history.
Looks like it is a repeat of posting history and this is quite normal in all the Solg's of this world and the CEO this and that. I have yet to hear any CEO is good eg he shouldnt have JV'ed it etc. But SP Angel said the Havieron project in terms of geology is complex etc [para phrased] and best for a major to tackle it as they have experience. Turns out to be correct as the deposit is in crescent formation.
Gervaise also flew from Sydney to Perth and he showed as well, his meeting with the fund industry. A pic was shown of an empty room that was so tight in size only the large long table could be fitted in. Of course, the fund people didnt want to be photographed. Callum the Chief Geo met up with investors and he explained via a note pad [digital].
So, if history repeats, those who know what happened at the last rodeo will be more informed and all the negs. On Twitter now, they tweet, no crying in the casino. Yes, decision is up to self. Dont invest or stay if not happy and do what is appropriate for self. But folks expect every single venture to be a Tier 1 and how many are there in AIM's history? In junior exploration, anything can go wrong , as it is with all stocks. Didnt Lloyds Bank fall to 10p and at that time ? This is known in Share 101. Just a lack of knowledge will be between success and failure. Why? This is the purview of hedge funds and when ordinary men or women want to join these ranks but without their resources of teams of research staff, able to do site visits, analyst's calls, then, it will or could be not surprising if at the end of the day, it falls short of ranked No 1. In the USA, they rank analysts and there are thousands and it is on performance of how many right and what % rig
