From Pg 21: "Beutong Reminder- Beutong is an extremely large Cu-Au-Mo porphyry deposit with a world class base of 5B lbs Cu or 2.4MT [total resource M & IH], 2.1 Moz Au and 20.6 Moz Silver on a 100% basis.
The proximity to infrastructure, grid power and the market means the project has an instant competitive advantage. The M & I g r a d e of 0.61% compares favourably to other porphyry deposits currently in p r o d u c t i o n.
The orebody remains o p e n to the east, west and to d e p t h indicating potential for c o n s i d e r a b l e resource g r o w t h.
What happens next? Note that the Beautong system remains o p e n to d e p t h and to the e a s t & w e s t.
Depth potential remains c o m p e l l i n g. Whilst the current focus is on the s h a l l o w e r portions of the deposit with leachable copper potential, Asiamet believes the geology indicates good potential to d i s c o v e r a deep h i g h e r grade zone. The current resource is defined to a depth of appox 700m.
Development options: Beautong is a g i a n t deposit. The full-scale development of the d e e p porphyry deposit remains a project for a l a r g e co, in our v i e w , but there are still options for s t a g e d developments with smaller starter pits and a future underground operation.....with a view to investigating the potential for a l o w cost block cave operation ie this would be much cheaper than a conventional , decline assessed underground mine.
Ultimately we see s i g n i f i c a n t potential at Beutong and after the intial drilling has been c o m p l e t e d, we have a better idea of dev options. Given many of the new copper porphyry discoveries in South America are s tranded in terms of power and water availability, we maintain Beutong will i n c r e a s i n g ly be in the s i g h t s of MAJOR copper producers as Asiamet re-starts the momentum of w o r k and continues to de- r i s k the project." Comment: From the Liberum Broker Note which was also recent, the price target was 20p [link given in this thread]
So, it appears that Asiamet*s RNS, Liberum and Optiva lend balance.
