Whilst the mining ban had been lifted FIRST, the ban on OPEN-PIT has also been lifted.
BZT's Mankayan in the Philippines is not open pit. Tempakan is the LARGEST potential project that is open-pit and ranked in the global world class project. The Philippines govt wants MINING to be the driver for the economic recovery from Covid.

The reason for the change of mind. Nora found that her relative's received study grants from the Tempakan co and that her relatives were paid in instalments for the land use etc.

Just general industry news further to what Colin Bird, Executive Chairman, BZT has said about Mankayan which is in the Northern Philippines.

COMMON SENSE: UK Oil and Gas is an UK ONSHORE exploration co in the main from the inception. It was NEVER an OFF-SHORE explorer in the UK. So, 2nd biggest or 2nd biggest onshore is quite obvious. Has anyone heard of LOXLEY [Ukog] being the 2nd LARGEST in the UK? So, the title did say 2nd largest. As I said, I was NOT at home. Currently, I have to make an appointment to have new glasses and I am short sighted. So, with that CAVEAT, do check as I am trying to keep everyone informed as I am personally interested in how much my next energy bill might cost --and given oil and gas has other applications, naturally interested.

Germans are now also bothered about Russian oil and gas - they feel it affects Germans in general.
