Of course I should of added we also have Columbus implications too.

Must be a deal to be made for all or cherry-pick some of their assets, given the administrators are involved it could move rather quickly as we know these assets inside-out..... but then again, we would be adding more NS assets when Mr Market is looking for us to acquire overseas.

If only our idiot's running the UK could take this approach too rather than pandering to the brainless majority for nothing more than a cross on a piece of paper. Instead of taxing the 'ell of out the NS, pass legislation to ensure that, say 40% of O&G profits go directly into UK renewables instead, if not, they pay the tax. With renewable investments made, they should also get substantial tax allowances on these investments too. The compound effect would turbocharge UK O&G companies transition. Spread this model across the world and Greta would be out of work....Simples !!

Just a thought as I'm sure there is a better way forward for all than taxing the NS to death in order to pay for the lazy hand-out-Britain Bums to continue their life-style. Sorry for slightly off-topic, rant over....

Some questioned why the BB was started, few weeks back I posted "BB probably designed to cover LTIP's etc so as not to unnecessarily dilute Mercuria's percentage...", say no more !

"If they test within six months", there is no reason why CHAR can not be producing circa ~6 months from now imo. For me it's critical to get production flowing even faster than ASAP, we have the cash do we have the focus and determination to do so ! Regulatory production approval should not be an issue, production facilities however may provide a challenge however CHAR have had sufficient time to plan ahead, now lets make it happen.

Serica Energy (AIM: SQZ) has awarded Subsea7 a “sizeable” contract to supply a pipeline for the company’s Belinda field development south-east of the Triton FPSO.

The contract, which Subsea 7 said is between $50m and $150m, scope includes project management, engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) of a five kilometre eight-inch production pipeline with a three-inch piggy-backed gas lift line and an electro-hydraulic controls (EHC) umbilical.

Subsea7’s scope also includes associated subsea structures and tie-ins to the Triton Floating Production Storage & Offloading (FPSO) vessel operated by Dana Petroleum, via an existing production manifold near the Triton riser base and for controls at the Evelyn valve skid.

Project management and engineering work will commence immediately in Aberdeen. The offshore activities are scheduled for the third quarter of 2025.

Serica Energy took a final investment decision on the project last month, though it warned that UK fiscal policy had delayed the move.

It is estimated to hold P50 reserves of about four million barrels of oil and five billion cubic feet of gas, Belinda is set to be developed as a tie-back to the Triton FPSO.

As the 100% owner, making a final investment decision (FID) would have been easy to justify under normal conditions. That being said, the windfall tax, or energy profits levy, has created instability in the UK market, the firm outlined.
