@chique - yes, i only hope that this industry 'mobilisation' isnt for something a bit more sinister further down the line, Russia obviously have had a big reality check with how their tactics and hardware function in modern war fare, drones have shown them many weak points. I have not read about this tax on Gazprom so you may be right,.

I saw your post about the himars in Russia, i have seen some videos of some of the wests military hardware getting sold its not out of the way that it could happen.

@Foor - not sure what your on about credit line? if your on about borrowing money that was another user not myself, i think you have me mixed up with someone else, yes i must admit i was a bit over bullish at the start but many of us thought this war would have been over by now, i havent been on here chatting because it disturbs my trading thats all. I never said about 'loading up' i already have my main position here, i will add some more next week hopefully if the price does not run away.

To many people on here judge others on their own trading strategy, i look at my trades differently, this POLY is an investment so it doesnt matter to me what the price is from one week to the next, im in long term, ive held shares like Taylor Wimpey for over 12 years now, barcs, LLoys, Vodafone, this will just go into that pot with that mind set.
its all about the divi's. I dont get stressed on these investments, i get stressed about the shares i day trade when that goes wrong and those shares i have a different mind set with, not the same as where i have put POLY in my mind. You should also bare in mind some of us are of an age that we dont care, ive also lived through far worse things in my life than a share price going down.

For the record i havent been trading this since the £2.50 area, got enough for a very good pention in here once divi's resume.

There is nothing going on here with POLY or the board, its the stock market and algorithms trying to get the pi's shares back, no big copnspiracy, just the market in a very strange time for the whole world. Lets be honest we knew they would not make it easy for us and they 100% want these shares back.

afternoon team POLY, just checking in and having a quick read, some good posts here all be not to everyones liking, dont get to excited as i came across a video today that is worth a 20 minutes of your life, its a bit negative but its reality and we should be prepared for this war to go onto into 2023 by the recent actions of the Kremlin, new controls and measures for Industry and its employee's.

US Retail sales up 1% on last month , no sign of full blown recession (yet)...

@Poker they will do it anyway as the effect of lowering inflation is delayed by quite some time, they have to be careful because later we could then be dealing with deflation next year, i would say oil price is a good indicator that it is working, Brent crude is under $100 now as is standard oil, commodities react first so its heading in the right direction, its not far off the price before 24th Feb now. Diesel was 146p a litre back then its currently at 196p, someone is making hay while the sunshines...

@Ray ok ok stop bragging :)) my spreadbetting platform is still showing 165p as the mid price, it will correct itself in the morning. I take these witha pinch of salt but you can see here that weight was on the sell side ;-)

more like the mm trying to make a market after buying loads of cheap shares at 160p, again no volume and only a 12k 'buy', look at the other trades before it, doesnt warrant a 10p jump on that volume, shows how the market gets played with the spread and UT, run it down then run it up.

@JR i got rid of level 2 as it comes with Qoute Stream and i wasnt happy with it so am looking at something else now, cant help with L2 atm as it went at start of month.

I havent been on here chatting because it distracts me from day trading on other shares, any profits of been making will be coming back in here shortly. for the record i have 40% of my PF in here and will be adding more, its long term hold for me, looking forward to those divi's even if SP is not pretty ))

@Atrades – you only have to look the SP action before the last rns, dropped the SP leading up to it then any gains made just took it back to where is was dropped from. Its not moving on buys and sells imo, algorithm and mm driving price down as we have seen with the UT trades, maximum pain to make you let go of your shares.
Everyone has there own trading strategy, this for me is a heavily undervalued investment, so the price doesn’t matter to me as I don’t need the money right now, I will be having a top up before next Thursday. Hold or lose in my case but I kind of was expecting this, war dragging on is an opportunity for the market to get back shares from PI’s.
Charts as you say are useless on this share without any volume, it shows bare how even large cap shares are being manipulated with algorithms hidden behind volume. I did warn last week that this would tank because of the wider market sentiment regarding FED and interest rates.

@Aging if your looking at the buy v sells on here (LSE) they are often incorrectly marked as a buy or sell, hence why there appears to be an inbalance with the share price. Its either the spread has moved before the price went through or the price moved opposite to what the trade was was, sometime a buy can make the price go down if your taking from liquidity off the Level 2 order book.

Regarding the ups and down of Barc price, i would not say its anything company specific and to worry about (im holder here), its the world crisis we are already in but people do not realise, we are already half way through a recsession with more to come, if you want to really follow the SP you need to keep up to date with the US markets, today we had the CPI index results which came in 9.1 (estimated 8.6) you can see the dip and bounce from 130pm when the data was released.

BARC follows FTSE 100, FTSE 100 follows SP500 and NASDAQ, there is lots bad news around at the moment so all the volatility is caused by this not stock specific i would say. Great if you want to trade it on the major support and resistance levels, a way to increase your holding in a down trend.

i can see a lot of nervous posts on here this morning, POG is not POLY, the only thing they have in common is GOLD and Russia else its like comparing Fleetwood Town FC and Manchester City FC, they are in different league so not even worth thinking about. Sorry for all those holders who have lost oput none the less, always be wary when you see a price rise like it did end of last week with the threat of administration, its the last whip to get the PI holding the bag when it goes down.

I can see us POLY going lower before next thursday, we know how the mm's play this, drop it before the news then it rises back to where it dropped as we have already seen, we need new buyers not ten minute rampers buying and selling.

CPI data tomorrow will tell the FED whether or not they will go in at .5 or .75 rate rise, markets are already pricing some of this in today imo. The dollar is super strong now against a lot of currencies and today for the first time since 2002 $1 = 1 Euro, ....something isnt right.

On a postive note its surprising how many international companies are still operating in Russia, high street chains such as Subway, Burger King, Marks and Spencers and Hotel chain Marriot Hotels, if they can do business there must be some ability to get funds out of Russia, maybe a special licence of some sort to avoid sanctions.

@CR888 that rise was just the UT trade, mm trying to make a market, the spread widened at 4pm, the price on my spread betting platform is still showing as 184.03p yet the UT trade went through at 192p which is 5p above the ask . The volume on the day was also very low and certainly did not warrant the last candle stick so im wary this is just another pump and dump by the mm's.

What we need is a whole new tranch of buyers, most of us here have maxed out and are sitting and waiting, those pi's who like risk are mostly in already, i dont see any new large amount of buyers before

1. News from Company on split on 21st July
2. End or cease fire to war.
3. New PM which relaxes the rules and allows institutions to buy some stocks.

BIg-Blue there is chnace lets not right it off, i suggest you watch this, Russia has siezed Sakhalin 2 LNG offshore rig rig from Shell etc, 10 billion lost, all because Japan threatened to put price cap on Russian Oil. Not gold but we must be realistic it could happen.

@R33 ive started to relaise charts do not work on this share with such low volume, news is the catalyst at the moment, the rise is the marketmaker trying to make a market because of low volume.

open your charts and go back to June 9th\10th on the FTSE, the sell off started then when the market got wind that the FED where to increase interest rates by 0.75%, the announcement was on the 12th i believe and will be the same again this month.

The non farm pay roll data came out today better than expected from the point of view of less people being unemployed in the US, this is actually bad news for the stock market though as it gives the FED the head room to go in heavy handed with more interest rate rises on the 12th which we know the stock market does not like, long term that means a slow down in the economy and will get priced in straight away.

There is a known correlation of high OIL prices and high inflation, so not only do they need to up the interest rates to get inflation down, they also need to get the OIL price down to stop this war so i can see them going in heavy possibly by even 1%. We will find out next week...

Good to see a little more activity on here today on the volume but you can still see almost all the days trades on 1 page.

Last week i watched out of hours auction trades and on 4 days the UT trade was moved 2-4p out side the bid sell price at the end of the day, the price was purposely walked down, i think a couple of others even commented on it on here, the mm is now doing the opposite and moving the price up and moving the price out side the offer by 5p today, there is no news here yet and no volume and still some way away from 21st.

Not complaining about the price going up but its transparent with such little volume how we are getting played here, having said that a few pence is nothing in the greater scheme of things but worth a post just to mention it as others made comment also.

FED will be announcing another .75% base rate hike next week which is why i think the market is in bullish form today , its preparing for another drop, FTSE was up and down likea yoyo today waiting for the non farm payroll data from the US, will be the same again next week as earning seasons Q2 has started, keeping a little cash a side now for any bargains.

weak bullish its just following the wider market as many shares shot up today, FED interest rates decision next week, expect another dip if .75%

@nick if we dont laugh we will cry, im doing my bit in my own way, ive still not spoken with my best friend in moscow, and i wont until the war is over as a matter of principle, how ever long that might be.. lets hope things cool down in the coming months.

Looking forward to a decent update on 21st July, POLY will be giving the market their plan for moving forwards, personally i dont want to see a split yet as by winter this war could grind to a halt, but what we must see is a plan A and a plan B.
