@Angerz - i dont pay to much attention, I actually bought my first shares in 1991 Norwich Union, i still have them to this day in paper certs (Aviva and with some dodgy B Shares whatever thats all about), i bought others and lost until 2008/9 i started proper, as i say you only learn the hard way in this game, already got that one under my belt as im sure many others have here to, hence why i dont trade AIM these days. just be patient, we have not traded under 216 for a long time almost 3 months, on the brink of deal with everyone back to work and prices hiked to account for it all. Ide like to think after trading for 14 years i know a little about it by now. Dont need to join in arguments with others just look at the chart.

yes i shouldnt assume people are using both main and isa accounts, if i could get the lot in my isa that would be great, disappointing about the allowance drop, its down to £3000 for 2024/25! In one hand out the other!

Just curious to see if there is any other scenario that could play out here ive missed, i think redom is nailed on regardless, other than Freedom Finance stepping in and offering us a UK branch that supports AIX or war cessation i dont think there is much chance of tax wrapper.

Not complaining though as paying tax is a good problem to have..

@Westy - im happy to hang on for dear life with the holding ive got now in main account, not the full amount i really want but an amount im comfortable with to just sit there for time being, as you know im heavily invested else where, if that comes off and with another 20K in my isa in a couple of days time and some clarity where we are going ile double up again. What made me make that decision is the CGT allowance dropping by over half in 2 days time, i can bare paying tax on divi's but not winning trades.

I did read that if our tax rates exceed the UK amount you can claim that additional amount back against UK CGT? If i read that right?

@Chippy - not sure what you mean by being pushed into a fund? is that like an investment vehicle you can add equities to?

i always see a lot of posts about ISA, BSR you often say about it and a few others, i initially had half each in both isa and my main account, i like the odd swing trade so dont want to lose any value out of my ISA, so i took the decision to sell all my ISA holding. This was with a view that we may not be able to transfer them if we redom.

So i sold some shares in my main account and bought back some more POLY completely cleaning out my ISA of POLY.

Do others here not see that as a risk? If not why not? Why dont you get all your holding into main account and IF we are able to hold in tax wrapped ISA, clear funds in ISA and buy back in there?

Tomorrow is the last day of £12300 CGT, as from the 6th April it goes down to £6000, i would rather hold POLY out of tax wrapper and trade the ar55 out of my ISA, keeping POLY as long term hold and taking divi's in main account.

Interested to know others thoughts on how your looking at your holding going forwards.

@broch - the way to fight this is with individual formal grievances, they cost a lot of money to fight and you dont get labelled a militant, this is the problem with unions while they usually fight for a good cause they are seen as trouble makers. They do huge damage to company books and only increase the vitriol towards them, doing on an individual basis costs more and eventually gets the message home.

@Broch - disgusting, if the management want to have the respect that comes with the word 'Royal' then they should behave in such a way, seems to me its institutional mocking of employee's that sort of thing is common place in factory worker jobs, it show's underlying contempt for its workers. If an employee done it you might laugh but not from management.

@Angerz - its all over the rag today, yes Dave & Co should be but his main gripe is bullying from what ive read, this is exactly that, at very least totally unprofessional at worst inciting a riot...

funny, not funny, if this is the calibre of management in this place is it any wonder the business is going down the pan, hope the manager got the sack as its just giving Dave & Co more fuel to chuck on the fire.

@Angerz - he cant come back with another update like last week, the employee's have already had enough, either hes going to cave in or hand over to another, as cashola says that is another option pulling a sickie.

Its basically hostage taking on both sides, both the business and employee's whos going to continue to stand for this... just one ignorant bitter old man with an axe to grind, his P45 and new pair of slippers are in the post.
