Beznick - to get to 4p we need to 16x.

When's the last time you were in share which increased 16 fold in 1 or 2 years?

Could this ever return to 1p?

I've done my balls in this, but a £1k top up at these levels would allow me to at least get £5k back from my original investment if we got back to 1p.

In normal circumstances when there isn't the uncertainty of an added tax to the gambling industry being added or not.....today's RNS would be seen as a welcomed positive boost for Evoke, and good work from the CEO and team

Can someone tell me what has fundamentally changed from a few weeks ago where were were mid 70s.........from what I can see there have been no changes to the commercials, or outlook......aside from the proposed gambling tax which hasnt' been confirmed?

I appreciate the comments that come every time this share performs well, and there is a sudden dip. The comments that appear all revolve around net debt.

However we had this net debt when the share price rose to 123p on the back of outside interest in a takeover.

We had this net debt when Directors have made considerable purchases at various prices ranging from 65p right up to 100p+

We had this nebt debt when the interims came out 4- 6 weeks ago and the share price went from 50p to 75p in the space of a matter of weeks.

What my questions are around, is why is there sudden surges of confidence buying, and then sudden surges of concerned selling, when the fundamentals have not really changed. If anything we are in a better place than we were 12 months ago, but the share price is lower.

WTF is going on here....opens up 65.50p...higher than yesterday, and now we are nearing the 60p mark again.

Who is selling these large chunks?

It's hard not to be frustrated....results have been positive, positive updates and noise this year.....even with the last Short position closing yesterday....but we still seeing a huge sell off from last week.

We hit 77p only two weeks ago, and seemed like we were on an upward trajectory....and since the Govt Tax rumours a lot of people are selling.

Today we seen a 5% lift only to come straight back down again.....there are lot of people selling into any rise, and for us long term holders it is frustrating

Is that not a bit strange? for them to close when the SP in a somewhat slide, and nobody knows what is going to happen with the update tomorrow or the tax situation?

DJEPSON i hope your wrong and we aren't having a repeat of last year regarding the trading update vs Interims.

It has been so positive in terms of share price movement there for about 3 -4 weeks.

Now in 2 days it's lost all the gains.

So is this just going to keep tanking on uncertainty over tax announcements, which won't happen until end of Oct / early Nov?

After which if there is a tax implemented, we'll see a big drop off again, and if there's not we will see a rise again.

Flutter and Entain have hardy moved today, and we are down another 4%.

Basically down around 15% from last week, whilst those two shares lost around 7%.

Was liking the feel of 75p, but trying to stay in the 70s is this week is the new target now.

Baby steps.......stay in the 70s for a few weeks to consolidate is what we need as a minimum. Unless we really are in line to see a similar rise to two years ago around this time,

March 2023 SP was 55p

June 2023 SP was 125p

Sept 2023 SP was 128p

We had such a fast rise back then on the back of a potential takeover bid by FS gaming and Kenny Alexander. A bid from playtech was rejected at 156p, and then after a few poor updates we plummeted.

In my opinion we are in a much stronger position now than we were then as a business, and there was a lot of noise at that time around how the business was extremely undervalued.....hence why Kenny and the boys, and Playtech both wanted to take it over.

The Directors with huge bits of skin in the game will be hoping this gets back to where it was too.

Some of them need the SP to be clear of 100p again to be making any real profit.

The positive is that they have always believed that it can achieve this, and as MARY has previously advised....they have bought in on the dips also

70p was paid today....I guess that's a milestone.

Back then it felt like we rose by 2-3p per day for around 2 months.

We can only fantasise about that

The markets as a whole aren't great today, but to get a bounce to 67p and then fall straight back again is so frustrating.

There does seem to be a real resistance at breaking that 67 / 68 p market......has been like that for a few weeks now

Worst thing is, this share has a history of overly dramatic reactions to news that is neither negative or particularly positive.

Almost like each time there is an update there's an expectation of something monumental which is positive new news, and when we don't get it there's a panic sell.

Yea, I thought that the slow climb from 50s to 67p ( or even from 38p to 67p ) was a positive sign building up to the next announcement but the drop back from 67p to 61p over the last few days doesn't look great.

We opened at 65p today too.

It will be interesting to see what they say tomorrow.

Royal Ascot was one of the best performances in the last 25 years for bookmakers.......and Cheltenham wasn't far behind that...if we can't make money during big events like this when results are bookmaker friendly, what are we going to do when results aren't going our way.
