Odd that the buys appear to be on a ratio of 3:1 with sells yet sp still at evens. You would have thought we’d be blue. GLA

I’ve already sent an email to the company and have had no response at all. You can draw your own conclusions to that. GLA

I’ve just sent the following to Nick Jeffrey at Vodafone. Let’s see if he has the time or inclination to reply.

Good afternoon Nick, I hope that you can help me. On the 3rd of December I wrote an email to Mr Read asking him to get someone to contact me and inform me as a private investor what the board of directors was doing to arrest the fall in share price. As I write to you today the share price is circa 150p with a low of 147p. That takes us all the way back to the share price of September last year. I have done a copy and paste of the email I sent to Mr Read, who is undoubtedly a very busy man, but I find it hard to believe that in all but 2 months no one at Vodafone has had the time to reply to my email. Hopefully you may be able to shed some light on this for me. I wrote:

Dear sir, I write to you as a long term private investor and customer to express my concerns on the companies performance and the state of the share price at this current moment in time. I think we can all appreciate that this company has its share of problems and the political pressure both at home and abroad which will be impacting on sentiment. However, my concern is with the companies apparent lack of response to these issues. As a long term holder I have watched my investment shrink beyond anything I could have ever imagined, I have bought more and more shares in order to bring my cost per share average down, and as fast as I can top up my holding the share price seems to fall further out of reach. I am now at the point where I am now skirting a five figure loss with no end to my losses in sight. At least as far as the lack of communication from Vodafone to its investors is concerned there is no end in sight. Undoubtedly the institutional investors are being kept well briefed so that they remain on side with any issues. That only leaves us private investors who are expected to just accept the problems that are affecting the company with no information.

Please would you contact me and give me an update on what the board of directors is doing to return this company back into the huge asset it once was to this country instead of a loss making heavy debt burden in everyone’s stock portfolio.

I sent Nick Read an email on 3/12/19 and have still had no reply. I’ve just been trying to find a good number to phone them and end up chasing my tail trying to get hold of Vodafone investor relations. All I can find is the number for the people that administer the shares - Computer Shares. As you might expect you can’t get hold of them if you try

I really hope that the BOD are aware that on their watch THEY’VE let this company sp slip all the way back to where we were last September. Oxygen thieves the lot of them. Hopefully we’ll get a share holder revolt and get rid of some of them. Bloody disgraceful

At least they got back to me with a promise to get back to me Not much but better than nothing. GLA

Lloyd, did LR get back to you on your - Peel, WA et al email?

The mining sector is generally down so it does explain some of this. I’ve just checked my share dealing account and I’m sat with a 41% loss. Not as bad as many on here but bad enough. Hopefully we’ll get something positive from LR to get the sp heading north again. GLA

DJ, I bet our PM is having to tread a fine line between appeasing the US and China. Both just about own this country between them, and since we can’t live without either we’re between a rock and a hard place

Bj, BT have taken a big hit on Huawei electronics that they’ve got to replace. This is going to impact all telecoms companies with the roll out of 5G. GL
