Exciting news from the Norwegian Sea! 🚀 The Norwegian Offshore Directorate has granted Aker BP ASA drilling permits for two new wells: 6306/6-3 S and 6507/5-13 S. 🎉

Aker BP ASA is leading the charge on the first license with partners ConocoPhillips and Petoro, while the second license includes a collaboration with Equinor, Wintershall Dea Norge (now Harbour Energy), and @ORLEN Upstream Norway. 🤝

The drilling for the first well is set to start in January 2025, followed by the second well in February 2025, both using the advanced hashtag#Scarabeo 8 rig from Saipem. ⛏️ This incredible rig can drill as deep as 35,000 feet and can accommodate 140 people!

Aker BP ASA recently extended Scarabeo 8's stay in Norway until the end of 2026, ensuring continued exploration in this promising region. 🛠️

Although the last well in the North Sea didn't yield hydrocarbons, Aker BP ASA made a significant gas discovery in the Norwegian Sea this October. They're now considering a subsea tie-back to existing infrastructure for development. 💡

Harbour have commiteed to paying 455$ million in dividends. I would therefore assume that with a strong dollar as Ancient say we will get more bang for our buck.

Harbour have far far too many shares and 2 major holders who helped the buying process but they would like to jettison as soon as.

Thats the reason plus the fact they have already mention it, that Buy Backs will play a big part of our future in my opinion ???

Agree Ancient loads of profit but pretty sure they will spend a fair bit on buybacks. Can’t see dividends being increased….

If Trump “Drills Baby Drill” we are all in the cart however I don’t think that will be a problem as it won’t happen.

Firstly America is already producing at a record level. Second there is a school of thought that the easy to get at oil is already running out.

I hope Drill Baby Drill relates to rescinding Bidens ban in off shore acreage.

The Yanks suffered heartbreak when the oil market was flooded about 10 years ago and many went bankrupt. I don’t think they will become turkeys voting for Christmas by increasing production and crashing the price.

Like you I’m concerned about Mexico as it’s a tin pot economy and pretty corrupt.

However we seem to be marching on and have numerous vacancies on line currently.

There might be some kind of deal with Slim I would imagine and Pemex haven’t got a lot to hiss in so they will be up for a deal.

The Mexican government are desperate to get the field producing as soon as so I’m expecting lots of momentum this year…..
