It has arisen as a result of covid restrictions SS. This was in Kosmos's recent 2Q filing. ..... "Delay to the installation of the Ghana Jubilee catenary anchor leg mooring (CALM) buoy. The Government of Ghana implemented certain travel restrictions pertaining to its borders. The contractor responsible for the installation and commissioning of the Jubilee CALM buoy decided to suspend operations and demobilize from Ghana. Kosmos expects the contractor to return to Ghana this year to complete installation and commissioning of the CALM buoy. As a result of the delay, the Jubilee joint venture is expected to continue to incur an estimated $6 million (gross) per month conducting ship to ship transfer operations until the CALM buoy is installed and commissioned." Looking at Marine Traffic it seems they are using 1 x 2m bbl VLCC for crude storage and 2 x DP Shuttle Tankers (800K bbls each???) plus an array of Tugs. May have that wrong as it all happens out of nearshore radar coverage. Anyway whatever they are using costs serious money.R

You can go on to ever oil board and its full of people screaming its the end of the company and we are all going to hell in a hand cart......And the truth is we all could be........

However historically all companies have worked on the principle being paid a price for their produce and making money.

Current oil is up another dollar from last week. The Saudis and Russians want oil higher. The yanks are producing less and less all the time and worldwide usage is rising each week and thats whilst we still battle Covid 19.

The battle to beat this awful disease is being won day by as quicker testing occurs and the vaccine get closer.

Im still very confident of Tullow making good but its going to take a while and yes its bloody ugly seeing this happen every day. However to put it in perspective BP has been down every day for the last 12 days......

I would prefer Tullow drilling in Orinduik than drilling suriname as Im not sure their block lies on the mentioned belt.. Agree a better COS in Guyana and better partners. but it looks like Suriname is a commitment well. A two-year extension was granted for Block 47 where Tullow plans to drill the Golaithberg-1 In July 2019 the partners in block 47 decided to continue to sup period B of the exploration plan which includes a commitment to an exploration drill. The partners choose the “Goliathberg Voltzberg North “prospect as the potential leading prospect for drilling. Tullow also completed a farm-down of a 30% interest in the Block 47 licence to Pluspetrol. Saw this on another board and wondered if any truth, history or logic.....

Rising Nat Gas is a canary in the coal mine for low oil demand.

At least a 50-50 chance......lol

Oil did rise after market closed on Friday so who knows.....

Is continuing to drill for oil the right path to follow or would Tullow be better using this money to purchase a few smaller companies with proven assets....

I accept a big find would sky rocket us but not sure it’s the right time although I guess we are contractually obliged....
