On the surface Shell seems to be treading water but actually they are pretty busy.

I think they have had a rocket put under their bottom by Cop 26 and the renewable pressure all companies are facing.

Hopefully the business they are doing will set us well for the future but time will tell. I does seem to be a scatter gun approach but then again I suppose we forget Shell has been into anything and everything everywhere for decades.....

Oil still high 70s so all good and gas just below 5$ so in a great place. Looks like winter could slow all recoveries down but more and more medical progress will see us through long term. I definitely expect Boyo's gap to be filled at some stage.

Q4 Results should be Mega and reduced debt a a further decent amount and the hopeful special dividend (if) would be welcome. Plus hopefully a dividend rise.

All in all a B+ from me as Shell marches forward.....

Looking good here now but still some major banana skins and major catalyst ahead.

Banana skins: Many of the revisions were a shambles and there are major major problems on the ground covering the USO in a huge amount of offices. The relationship with the CWU is roses at the moment but historically it doesn’t last. How much is the real cost of clearing every office every day.

Catalysis: New parcel hubs will save a fortune, increasing technology and automation will be major benefits and clocking in everywhere will give greater control over cost. Delivery office efficiencies are still to be achieved.

On balance Royal Mails future looks positive.

They tried to flog it in 2019 so might be a decent price for us and will keep Prelude busy....

The Opec general secretary expects a surplus of oil supplies next year and even from December.

I struggle to see this but he's obviously the one in the know.

Good that the last 2 weeks Shell has taken a breath. Helps to consolidate the share, and then move on to the new buyers and sellers.

This week is Ex-Div I think so might see a small drop that day.

Apart from that just another day of the cash register rolling, New projects coming on line and investments being made etc etc. All of GOM is back on line and earlier than expected so thats also Happy Daze.... I thought Ben comments last week were quite brilliant and released at exactly the same time. After all its not rocket science....We need to sell the oil and gas to fund the renewable projects....Simple....

Looks like Dan Loebs idea to break up the company though the fact that he has recently bought nearly 750$ mIllion of shares is very positive. People like him tend to be great players and there is usually a strategy they follow. Did he really want to break up Shell or make some noise for one reason or another. All I know is generally when people like him get involved it focuses minds and increases share price.
