You could be right but personally I would much prefer that Shell got in much much deeper in Renewables at the earliest stage.

We know that oil will be driven out in the coming decades so it makes sense to spend more now on Green projects to me.

I would also have like to have heard a clear plan for all of the 9 Billion Dollars. Perhaps one third buy backs, one third dividends and invested in Renewable energies.

Also whilst Ben has done a good job I wonder if its time for a change to a new greener CEO….

So we have sold an asset for 9 Billion Dollars which must mean a reduction on profit. I don't go with the "you don't make much in Shale" as otherwise we couldn't have sold it for such money.

So a simple question......

Why don't you invest the 9 Billion dollars in the renewable or Gas instead of returning it to share holders ??

Nothing on the Divvy front thought ??

Should help to keep the SP in a good place........

Cant work out why oil companies held up so well today with oil down about 3% at close but it’s a strange time.

I’m sure the coming days will be lots more chaos and confusion but hopefully there will be good new.

Just took a decent wedge at £3.19.....

Could be a bargain. Could be worst buy in history......

Fair value at 70$....Could be anything be I’d guess around £17 per share.

I think it’s less to do with the oil price in the very short term and more to do with this bloody Covid. More importantly what will it mean to us. Normality, Lockdown, transport etc etc….

If its as early stories report nothing to worry about I think Shell will get back to its highs and beyond as it throws off shed loads of cash.

The heard will stampede next week and take oil and oil companies down a fair bit from here.

Could be OK for me as I can buy a few on Tuesday when funds come in.

The markets don’t like uncertainty and this is about as unceetain situation as you can get….

Don’t get me wrong BP and Shell are fantastic investments long term but only when we beat this bloody virus which I hoped we had started to do…..Time and Patience needed…

Could be a Bumpy Monday with new rules announced and first 2 cases in UK. Well done at least for acting early this time....

Whilst we don't know enough yet about this variant this could be the beginning of more troubles ahead for all of us and our oil investments.....

Oil at almost 72$ is more than comfortable with me.

Shell make handsome profits at this price and gas was also up over 7$ on Friday so we are in a good position.

I also like some of the renewable investments made recently and I think they will have spent a good few dollars on these which down the road is where our future is.

For once this could be quite lucky for me as I’m buying a decent amount of Shell and BP on Tuesday…

I think things will get much worse for consumers in April as the prices will be massively hiked up and the cap will have to be amended or replaced completely.

I don't see any companies offering sweeties to move until at least 2023 and even then Shell being a provider of the oil and gas and a supplier of the power will be in a great position to be very competitive.....

Hope your well. It was the Big boys at Barclays who said £30 and I still don’t think its impossible. You put oil over 80$ a barrel for a year or 18 months and who knows whats will happen.

Are there any low gaps to fill or are we clear to move upwards when all settles down?

If I were Shell I would definitely be doing a deal with the Government to take on the Bulb customers.

They know they cannot keep the price cap in its current form and that the market has to be balanced between suppliers and customers.

As with all things the market will right itself and hopefully will help progress Shell power business in the future….

Who know Char, if oil and gas stay where they are for the full 12 months anything is possible.

Some great work being done on the renewables, looks to be a decent plan…..
