Just had a reply from IR.

Nothing we didn't know ofcourse but just that Harbour sell off is market wide and confirming the low buybacks was handover of brokers.

They like us are very frustrated with price and maintain that oil demand is continuing to grow whilst inventories remain at record lows.

Confirms share price hit by Windfall tax and analysis view of between 1.2 Billion hit on future profits which is priced in. Also some technical selling ahead of Harbour leaving the FT 100.

Let's assume some people have been helped along the way and had shares transferred to them at a record low price. How this was done is still a bit of a mystery but lets assume they could somehow control the price. Lets assume their was a buy back in place to help mop these shares up.

Then let's assume they have done this to reduce the amount of tax on their shares when they rise as they are at a very low base. Lets assume the price they needed was £3.

The question is when is the best time to announce such news without frightening the horses.

Would it be just before a major drill result is announced.
Would it be just before potentially recording breaking results are announced.
Would it be just before the debate on windfall tax with concessions takes place.

Or is all of that just a coincidence ?????

No idea if you right or wrong but I would certainly appreciate a full explanation of what has happended.

We seem to have good production, great oil and gas prices and excellient prospects yet here we are here.

There is no way I'm negative on Harbour and have a very large amount invested in it.

I just like things to be honest and transparent and none of us really knows whats going on at the moment.

Look at either board and a number of people are guessing exactly what has happended over recent days but truth be told none of us really knows what is behind the recent RNS.

I shouldn't be like that.

I think thats what we need to say. We have no idea.

What we do know is the Harbour structure is extremely complex and mainly hidden from view in off shore islands.

We also know that both EIG have dropped from 37% to 16% and CIG 13% from to 5%.

We don't know why they would sell if there is so much promise with Harbour and Im sure we will never find out any of their shannigans. There are so many wheels within wheels and Blair and Linda and others are heavily involved in both companies.

Having an average of over £5 it would be nice to think we are on an upward path....

Why do you think it is that the SP has been affected so much by this transfer and what is different now assuming transfer has finished?

So I make EIG have sold 192.5 millions shares.

If you say an average of £3.50 per share thats nearly £675 million.

No wonder we have been going down.

(I still can't understand exactly what happended to the shares to make us go down if they didnt sell them??|)

Why would she transfer that many shares to her husband. Any ideas what thats about?
