Sorry, thought that this was a discussion board, before I move on...why not explain your reasoning for the share price being x40 projected earnings, how's that justified? I can think of companies such as VOD which trade on a fraction of the price, dividend 6% and PEG 0.5.

Perhaps it is simply a case that GRG investors base their investment decision upon how much they like the Steak Bake? Or perhaps the truth hurts!

Good value? I'd not be paying £1.7 billion for a loss making company with a projected profit of £45 million for the year ahead.

I've no interest here other than this bizarre valuation, personally I could not invest in a company trading at 40 times projected earnings....does not matter how good their Steak Bake is..or not!! lol

Based upon current consensus for the year ahead, 600p would give us a prospective P/E of 14 and a dividend yield of 2.6%.

GRG at 600p.... I still think it is possible to find better value and a that in the current climate a P/E of 14 is expensive.

Perhaps this is not a coincidence, let's face it this new strain identified within the UK was not discovered this morning and announced this afternoon. Novacyt were ahead of the curve and new what was coming next, hence this morning's RNS. I'm amazed we've not reached £10 a share.

Do we have a test for this new variant? Although we have tests for different variant relating to mink, might not be the new variant discovered in the South East.

£60 would make me a millionaire, fingers crossed.

Don't understand why our PE is currently so low, personally I like to make comparisons with GRG which has a forward PE of approx 40 and a domestic market with lots of competition. NCYT is a specialist company with a global market and a prospective PE of <3.

At £60 a share the Market Cap would be £4.2 billion pounds, price earnings ratio 10.5.

For that to happen I'd expect operating profits to be at least £400 million a year with continued forward looking positive consensus.

What's your target price? I'd suggest that the reason for the fall is simple, that GRG is massively overvalued, not sure how the forward consensus PE is justified. Have to admit that I don't know enough about this company, however I'm off for a closer look at the balance sheet. Good Luck!

I'm struggling with the valuation here, prospective PE for the year ahead is >40, which is crazy, a valuation that I'd expect upon a growth stock with a history of delivering annual EPS growth >20%. Prospective dividend does not inspire either, have I missed something?

Did anyone mention the fact that we have no debt....what's not to like?
