it's not Restrictions vs infections. There are many things we could do to get cases down that aren't restrictions - and low infections is best for schools, best for unvaccinated and best for avoiding new variants.
Govt has consisently not done them.

If the govt want to "proceed irreversibly" then they have to take a *multipronged* approach to tackling #covid19, which INCLUDES scrapping travel traffic lights, comprehensive quarantine, supporting self-isolation, better ventilation in public places & facemasks in 2ndary schools

Has is it? In my opinion we are still in arbitration, which is the first phase, although hope someone can prove me wrong.

Anybody else concerned about the number of Q16/Q32 delivered as part of the DHSC contract? The numbers quoted as of 09/02/2021 are 132 Q16 and 38 Q32, seems awfully low considering the ramp up in production quoted within the November RNS and the fact that NCYT now have a team of 50 supporting the NHS.

The low number of Q32 is a concern. The September RNS stated 'This first phase of the contract will involve the immediate deployment of 300 PCR instruments, related kits and support services with a minimum value of £150 million for the first 14 weeks.'

Is it any wonder that the contract is under dispute if NCYT underdelivered 130 instruments. I'd like to think that the reason we underdelivered, is due to the DHSC applying the breaks back in November 2020, perhaps refusing to take further deliveries due to the initial teething issues.

Wonder whether NCYT supplied further instruments post 09/02/2021 and whether Today we are selling the instruments direct to the NHS?

Did DHSC put the breaks on the contract, therefore fall short of the minimum £150m contract value?

Also, is it the case, that to date much of the money received from the DHSC was nothing to do with the contract, instead money received was for the supply of tests to the lighthouse labs?

November R&D update stated: Further to the announcement on 15 October 2020 when Novacyt acquired IT-IS International, the Company has significantly increased the manufacturing capability of IT-IS to manage the growing demand for its q16 and q32 instruments. From November 2020, the Company has scaled-up manufacturing capacity for instrument production more than five-fold, with further expansion planned, depending on continued demand.

Yet DHSC claim that only 38 Q32 delivered as of 09th Feb, something does not add up. Wonder whether we are still selling the machines direct to the NHS within the framework, let's hope so.

It would appear that we have vacancies for x3 Warehouse Operative......sounds good, must be busy!

Wendy has moved on, her profile states 'ladies at lunch' or something to that affect. I agree with Kaeren, Wendy was more than likely out of her depth, the company has changed beyond recognition this past 12 months.

I notice that Wendy Karban (Group HR Manager) has been removed from the Executive team, having checked Linkedin can confirm that she has left the company.

To elaborate, we need to contain the pandemic if we are to protect health, economy & return to any near-normal. Unless we contain the pandemic through multipronged approaches focused on *reducing transmission* & keeping new variants out- this yo-yo of restrictions will continue.
The measures I think will be most useful at this point are:
1. Mitigations in schools
2. Managed quarantine for travel from all countries at our borders
3. Fixing a broken test, trace & isolate system
4. Support with isolation
5. Limits on large gatherings & indoor gatherings

Some interesting points from Deepti Gurdasani, very critical of the UK Government and the UK Strategy, over reliance upon vaccination and failing track and trace.

Have a friend that works for Airbus, although working from home a lot, he has to have a weekly PCR test should he be required to attend his normal place of work. The market is truly enormous and that's just within the UK.

Novacyt's International Sales Manager - Asia Pacific, she only started January 2021, would think that her efforts unlikely to have contributed to the bottom line until the latter part of Q1, hopefully full impact upon Q2.

'200% of target achieved, £52 million/year expected with the systems and products in my territory' as posted by a Novacyt employee.

Break this down, that was a target of £26 million within that specific territory. I wonder how many Territory within the UK? Also, wonder what the target is for 2021 now that we have a team of fifty selling directly into the NHS under the framework?

I'm assuming seven Territories within the UK, although I could be wrong:
London and the South East
South West
Midlands
North West
North East
Scotland
Wales & Northern Ireland

Should each territory have a target of £25 million (average/conservative estimate) that's £175 million in revenue just from the NHS.

Then take the Americas and the appointment of Kevin Crittenton, I'd assume that Novacyt are now putting in place a direct sales force across the pond too. The Americas has a population of over 1 billion , a truly massive market and we have two heavy weights, Kevin and Guillermo Raimondo, both appointed H1 2021. Have to wonder what the targets are for North America, Central America and South America....hopefully we shall learn more on the 29 June.

Some posters have attempt to draw comparison with pre-covid Novacyt, in that with the role out of vaccine future revenue shall return to pre-covid levels. Personally, I don't believe that COVID shall go away, no such thing as post covid, fortunately we shall learn to better manage the situation and live with the continued threat, I'm sure that Novacyt shall have a massive role to play.

Pre Covid Novacyt, the company did not have the direct sales force within the UK that it has Today and within the Americas that it shall have Tomorrow. Going forward there shall be no comparison with the former business, Novacyt has received a massive cash injection and cleared all debt from their balance sheet. Plenty going on behind the scenes, the minor issue of a dispute with the DHSC has become a massive distraction, however can't imagine that Graham Mullis is loosing any sleep.
