I'd assumed that the updated Simply Wall Street Fair Valuation of £121.72 for Novacyt, which has been promoted upon Twitter this past week, was a wind up.....however it's not, it is their genuine fair valuation.

I'm hoping for some sort of Christmas message this week from DA.

Crunching some numbers....in Q1 we had non DHSC Revenue of approximately £36m and that was before mass international Air Travel resumed and we know that H2 non DHSC Revenue was £54m Therefore I'm thinking that we should be able to better Q2 (£18m) in Q3 and better Q1 (£36m) in Q4.

Q1 £36m
Q2 £18m
Q3 £20m (estimate)
Q4 £44M (estimate)
Which would be £118m revenue for the year, if this was the case, I'd expect to hear something before the end of the year to update the previous £100m guidance.

The same 'plebs' that spent their lives posting here that testing was over.....where are they now!!

Why not a commitment from the Government that PCR testing for the purposes of travel shall remain in place until 31 May 2023, the requirement for testing beyond this shall be subject to a review at the time.

Removes the uncertainty for those companies conducting the tests, allows companies to plan and invest, therefore prices for PCR testing would fall. At the minute, these businesses don't know whether they are coming or going, the Government continue to move the goal posts and the uncertainty allows such companies to charge extortionate rates.

With certainty PCR tests could be provided for as little as £25, in my opinion.

What's the issue here, wondering whether it is the actual test, I feel more likely to be the ancillary items required to collect the samples.

It shall be interesting to hear DA's view with regards to the dispute, what line will he take when he provides an update, in my opinion his words shall speak volumes. For instance does he maintain exactly the same stance as the previous regime, or does he take a different tack? In my opinion not long now, he shall have to say something on the matter soon.

Also, what is our capacity, how many tests can we supply per month? The current rate of production for the Q32/Q16?

I would like to draw your attention to the following :
DHSC aim to have the results of the review within 20 working days, but this may take longer if there’s a high volume of applications. DHSC will prioritise certain applications where necessary, for example if it’s in the interests of public health.

If DHSC need more information, you must respond in 20 working days. If you do not respond within 20 days, your application might be rejected.

We are working through a very large volume of applications at the moment, and we cannot provide a fixed time frame. Also, if the application data was submitted not according to our technical guidance ( https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/assessment-and-procurement-of-coronavirus-covid-19-tests/covid-19-test-approval-step-2-process-for-desktop-review ), as you see in the guidelines, we have to stop the process and go back to suppliers giving them 20 working days to provide the information – so that is an additional time frame that needs to be taken into consideration.

Considering the high profile appointments to senior sales positions within Novacyt, to me suggests exciting new products that are soon to be launched. The company would not be making such appointments unless they had something to sell globally!!

Astonished, after listening to the Downing St briefing and having heard Sajid Javid speak, to find Novacyt down and the FTSE 100 UP >70 POINTS. I'm thinking that the markets have their heads in the sand.

Sorry, but there's no inside information being leaked, that would be illegal.

Also, have been criticised previously for suggesting that every GP could have an instrument for testing to confirm that an infection is present and whether an antibiotic is appropriate, citing the costs involved in rolling out that many instruments, however how much money is wasted every year when GPs prescribe antibiotics unnecessarily, how much does that cost the DHSC/NHS? PCR can be for all sorts of infections including STI.

Those that have attempted to bash Novacyt have claimed that PCR is old technology, although it came about nearly 30 years ago, it remains cutting edge. Some of the current day testing, as used within hospital labs, I'm led to believe is primitive, was once told about them having to boil away blood, or was it urine, to extract the solid particles at the end of the process for further analysis......how time consuming must that be?

Gizmo555, Totally agree, the WHO state that antimicrobial resistance is the biggest threat to health. Novacyt tests and instruments have the ability to not only confirm whether there's an infection, but the type of infection allowing the medical professionals to prescribe the most appropriate antibiotic. Imagine if Novacyt were to launch an instrument which gave a result within 10 mins, imagine a simple to use instrument available within every GP consulting room across the nation.

Also, antibiotics have been widely misused in farming, again another massive, truly global, market for Novacyt to tap into.
