That's definitely how it reads from the circular from Hammerson but this was also the case when I last had Hammerson shares and on that occasion they took the scrip on our behalf.

I didn't receive anything in the post or electronically to if I wanted the scrip or normal dividend.

I've emailed Hargreaves Lansdown and awaiting their reply so fingers crossed

Can I just check with anyone who has a Hargreaves Lansdown account.

As regards the scrip dividend. Last time H and L applied for this for us on our behalf. So we received the 2p in shares, Instead of the 0.2p cash alternative and we didn't have to do anything other than to own the shares close of business the day before ex divi ,obviously.

Is this the same scenario again??
I am just panicking as I saw the cut off date was Fridsy 21st but I hadn't received anything off Hargreaves so I'm hoping very much they applied for it again for all investors.

Any feedback from posters who know the genuine answer to this will be much appreciated.

I'd love an RNS before the final 1, Ideally as I stated before explaining the finance required to sellte to nerves but I don't think it will.

Plus I don't think any bidders names will be announced, only the final successful company and the price they are going to pay.

I am no expert in the stock market, just quite experienced.

My advice to anyone buying into a share is at least know the basics around a company and why the SP is as high/low as it is.

Ideally if your investing does your company pay a dividend and what cover this is and possible ex divi dates .

The stock market seems to be the new bookies for people at the moment.

I like a gamble and this is 1 but people must read up a little.. like you would on a horse running at the 2.35 at Lingfield!!

No one is saying they shouldn't have given profit warnings. Its been unheard of this year for a company not to give 1. .... TBH 3 was always a massive red flag... these warnings, I believe they were in

3rd January SP 140p
3rd May SP 60p
3rd July SP 48p

Above just an dea of the SP on the 3rd of those months but with a warning why not do a raise ???

It's normal practice and this could have avoided the need for a sale at all
