Purely from a balance sheet accounting point of view its Debit Shares in Issue, Credit Debt so Net Assets would reduce by say the $1.5bn Sekforde stated
However its the investment metrics such as EPS and yield that would be improved significantly, leading in theory to a higher share price. The problem is, HBR is not a share seemingly tied to those metrics, moreso its global events and trading skullduggery that moves it
Personally, I would prefer to see the BASF stake dispersed among several large instis who are comitted to HBR, rather than taking on more debt. However thats just a personal view and Im sure others may disagree :)
