I strongly suspect there's more going on, that we'll here about shortly. The £112,000 contract is good. Dr Hardman's presentation is undeniably a great endorsement of the product. But I don't think either can account for the recent level of interest. I'll be watching the news very carefully over the next few weeks.

RNS Number : 2154K Lombard Medical Technologies PLC 15 April 2010 Press information Lombard Medical Technologies PLC ("Lombard Medical" or "Company") Study shows that Aorfix* Reduces Iliac Limb Occlusion Rates from 7.5% to 0% London, UK, 15 April 2010 - Lombard Medical Technologies PLC (AIM: LMT), announced today that Dr John Hardman has presented data this week at the 32nd International Charing Cross Symposium on the use of Aorfix* in patients with tortuous iliac anatomy. The study was performed at the Royal United Hospital in Bath, UK. The aim of the study was to evaluate the use of Lombard Medical's Aorfix* Stent Graft on the rate of iliac limb occlusion. The study had two arms, a control group and a study group. Aorfix* was used in the study group only. The control group included 93 patients, 12 of whom were considered to be severely angulated or required adjunctive stenting (12.9%). 7 patients in the control group developed iliac limb occlusions (7.5% occlusion rate), and 5 of these 7 patients required an additional intervention during the first two weeks post procedure. The study group included 168 patients, 25 of whom were considered to be severely angulated (14.8%). Iliac limb occlusions were eliminated completely in this group (0% occlusion rate). The Aorfix* stent graft was utilized in 40 of the most severely angulated cases in the study group. Dr Hardman concluded his presentation by stating that: "In our experience, having Aorfix* available allows us to treat more patients with an endovascular approach. Furthermore, we have seen a dramatic improvement in our iliac limb occlusion rates when utilizing the Aorfix* stent graft." # Ends - About Lombard Medical

Excellent spot!! Looks like 'No.2' of my guesses was the closest approximation to the facts (see my earlier post). But, as encouraging as it is, I hardly think £112,000 can be the sole cause of recent buying levels, which continued today, though not in the multi-millions. Methinks there may be further contract announcements shortly. I recall the company were recruiting new sales personnel late last year. They haven't been idle, by the look of things. Onwards and upwards!

I reckon there's been one or more of the following: 1. Heavy Director buying. 2. A new, large order for the stent - perhaps from an international health service 3. An unlikely (but not impossible) take-over bid in the offing But as I say - WTFDIK? Perhaps we'll get some news next week.

I'm a long term holder here and, in spite of my continued faith in the product, have gone from pant-wetting anticipation (see reference to 3p above), through disappointment, and finally to despondent resignation after the 1p offer and subsequent fall. I wasn't expecting any activity until at least 2011. And yet, I cannot help wonder about the recent purchases. There have been a good few, and some of them LARGE. Which leads me to thinking that these are not just speculators with a few bob to spare 'having a punt'. I've found no information - through research or rumour - to suggest fresh developments. Something tells me that maybe others have. Perhaps we can look forward to an RNS of some sort next week, which will cause a spike (albeit temporary)? Who knows? This is totally perplexing! Evening All! Seems to have been a fair bit of trading (relatively speaking) recently, and I'm not altogether sure, from the prices, who's been selling and who's been buying. In particular, I'd be interested to know if the trade at of 10,000,000 shares this morning at 11:45 for 0.87 was a sell or buy. If anyone has any insight, that would be helpful! I take this opportunity to say howdy doody to some of the one-time regulars on this board - Nootame, Rich, etc. Hope you're well and prosperous, gentlemen!

There's life here, but not as we understand it! Actually, there has been the odd quiver over the past weeks, partly caused by my own topping up/lowering my average. Some stirrings from the British building firm as well! A very Happy (and exceedingly proseperous) New Year to you!

Yes indeed! An age beleaguered in still waters! My holding isn't massive, but I topped up today (you can see me there - 50000 @ 1.152), to lower my average a bit or, if things kick off, boost my profits. The buyer of half a mill must have some hopes, though. The endless waiting! Mind you - I said exactly the same thing about PYC. Considered it one of my worst investments ever, and was prepared to write it off as a painful and expensive lesson. And now look! Where there's hope, as they say!
