Your excellent post just about says it all! Couldn't agree with you more about the need for regular updates - even a little news every so often works wonders for investor confidence. Clearly plenty has been/is going on - why not let us know? As for approval, let's not forget that their stent has already gained NICE approval for use in the NHS in the UK. Personally, I'm expecting rewards before 18 months!

Earlier RNS's suggested the global ambit of this outfit, and today's news confirms that in spades! Not expecting fireworks straight away, but we're clearly way along the path to greatness! To be frank, this Japanese deal surprised me - wonder where else they've been active? Russia was mentioned a while back....? That a buy or a sell?

Wonder if we're due some more news? Howdy Doody Nootame, Rich, Sage and all fellow sailors on this beleaguered ship!

My understanding (and please correct me if I am wrong) is that Osmetech will shortly be de-listed from the AIM market, and that existing OMH shareholders are to be issued with shares in GenMark, which will be traded on NASDAQ. Not entirely sure if we will be issued with shares on a 1-1 basis, or what. This arrangement seems to have put the wind up many investors recently, with consequent selling (presumably in many cases at a loss). Yet we see a fair amount of buying in the past few days, and a rising price. Could it be that buyers anticipate higher levels of trading through exposure to the American markets? Or maybe someone "knows" something (someone ALWAYS seems to know something about upcoming good news, even though such leaking verges on the illegal). Anyway, hope this positive trend continues, and that the changes ahead prove profitable for us all.

Given recent buying, it wouldn't surprise me if there was more positive news shortly!

Indeed. One step at a time. But ANNOUNCEMENT of each of those steps as we progress. Actually, I'd much prefer a steady climb, rather than a massive spike followed by inevitable retrace. By the way - as an 'old timer', do you by any chance recall the actual sums those doctors have personally invested?

Yes - those sales are obviously vitally important. But what is vital to investor confidence is REGULAR REPORTING and updates on that progress.

I'm harking back to the jokes we used to share on this particular board! I can't recall the particular opportunities we both seemed to have missed at the time! At least we got some humour value out of those situations! TW is really starting to bore me now. Though I shouldn't complain. It has been a nice little earner for me over the past 12 months or so. Well, it held the penny. And a lot more! Did you decide to top up? I am very satisfied with progress so far and, like you, having held this stock for about a thousand years, I am more than pleased to continue to hold till at least 2012, when the American deals will hopefully reach fruition. The many positive points of the report have been well covered elsewhere, but the word 'Russia' sounds particularly good to me. Very good indeed. It is a BIG place. I reminded myself this morning that Doctors have backed this project from the outset with their own, personal, hard-earned cash (many thousands). And if it's good enough for them - it's plenty good enough for me! GLA

Wonder what that strategy might involve. webb010782 - the company financial calendar doesn't indicate any results due tomorrow, but as the site is undergoing work, perhaps that calendar hasn't been updated? nootame!
