Call me cynical, but in a day of red, aml rises appreciably with no news apparent - then rns's released at end of day. Thoughts anyone?

As someone else suggested, mooky advised shorters to run away earlier (before things return to a more normal).

Mooky with his holding does not like shorters, but maybe they are helping prevent a debt for equity as prayfor suggested.

Some sense in that Prayfor.

The sky news report didn't really report anything new apart from company cineworld have hired to help sort out any deal with the lenders appointed team.

The lenders probably will have the power to close down cine for good, but the real qquestion is, would it benefit them?

I'm a bit concerned about BT having to replace hauwei gear though this could be a chance to improve infrastructure if done right.

Sounds good fleccy. I had wondered how Bt's openreach would fit in with everything becoming more about 5g and wireless. I think BT won't rise as much as some startups (due to size of bt and pension issues and government restraints) but I bought more bt today as I'm optimistic here.

If bt ever do sell a chunk of openreach it could be nice. Just hope ceo doesn't want to raise capital using a RI next year.

Their last placing brought in 11 million when sp was around three pounds. Considering their own estimated loss is 25 million per month from last trading statement, I'm not sure if another RIssue at present time would do much apart from anger the shareholders. Depending on how much capital reserves SSPG require, i would think that they have enough until middle of next year or longer at present cash burn.

In normal language PwC means that they don't know what will happen.

Amc and cine now seem to be roughly matched in terms of SP reduction % after the more time to die bond news on the 2nd. Now, wheres my crystal ball? I can see this slipping lower on the short-term, but selling out to buy in later is like putting your only pair of trousers in the wash when you might need them in 30 mins for a date with that blonde girl you fancy.

Partially agree Jas78 however I don't believe Looney has screwed up. Yes, oil markets are in turmoil and Looney changing some of the company direction means uncertainty, however this is all reflected the current low SP.

More lockdowns won't really affect cineworld atm so its effectively simpler to calculate rates of loss atm. Mooky done the right thing - lockdown tiers are too complicated. Roll on good news on waivers.

I had planned on investing here right after the last results then the price spiked to 50p on news of us sale. SP now back to old levels, I'm tempted though it might be one you buy and put in the drawer for a couple of years.

I guess at least 2 weeks before news on waivers deal/no deal. Its a very dynamic time atm with so many unknowns. The banks negotiator could well sit on their hands until things stabilise. No deal highly unlikely though never say never. If somone who wants cineworld assets on the cheap has influence on the lenders then it could happen. I just hope Jangho don't!
