A big crude draw signalled by API yesterday..say the EIA figures come in better than those could there be an upswing in BP's SP? The market does not seem to want to rate BP shares much higher mainly cos of these writedowns and pending strategy updates??? Or is it the virus that is lingering weighing on sentiment?
the thing is that is got to £4.26 so excess of £4 - would you have sold or like me thought it could go higher...only to go lower!! stock market i tell you ;-)
reason for decline: air-bridges announcement delayed1 Jul 2020 13:34
And never start a sentence with and..but also the 1.15pm jobs figures giving traders the nerves...warren buffet was right about one thing...impossible to time the markets???
More flights in air so what gives??1 Jul 2020 12:57
No reason for the down downs..just market and trader shakeout..if anything more flights in air and improving outlook...its def the prevailance of the virus spiking out there...
BP and INEOS boss Jim Ratcliffe go way back and are old friends!!29 Jun 2020 20:10
BP and INEOS boss Jim Ratcliffe go way back and are old friends. Each peach pear plum choose your best chum!! Dont agree with looney selling PC business on the cheap to Ineos. Ineos is moreorless the old BP...all the assets BP dont want have been acquired by ineos. Thats tells you how much assets BP have built up and sold over the years....a serious amount of assetts..made ratcliffe very rich indeed
I suspect it will be less than the market expects but all depends on the reference valuation date and any assumptions. Taken a punt today on the basis this will have improved - else why have al the directors been buying up?? Cant see any other reason. Also I see this is a great long term investment...the value of openreach and EE is not refelected in today's SP...
RE: definite punt at this level and....25 Jun 2020 18:28
They are buying...demand at levels less than 3.22... correlating to percieved level of demand and oil stockpiles that exists...once the market starts rebalancing one can calculate the dy/dx and re-rate shares accordingly...i would say pound cost averaging BP shares every 14d is sensible for the next 2m
traders remorse when it fell through 80p this morning. It has flat-lined now!!! Now is the next move up...or is it down??? What can drive it up in the near term??? Tesco trading update tmrw??? Non food sales hints???
