Well said Irishmouse!! Who knows 2020 may still turn out to be a good year for those of us invested and as the old saying goes "It ain't all over until the fat lady sings"
Like most genuine investors here I am still trying to come to terms with today's news. No point in selling what I have so I will keep them in my 'bottom drawer' and look at them every now and again as a sore reminder that when something seems to good to be true it probably is and not to believe everything you read. Lets hope that the 'main man' with the 'wonderful track record', 'vast experience' and 'great contacts' in Africa can get AAOG out of this mess, if that is what he really wants to do, that he can turn things around in 2020, bring some relief to the people who believed in him and his skills and that he can get AAOG back on track. Good luck everyone I think we're going to need a miracle but they say that sometimes miracles do happen!!
Thank you for your reply I have managed to average down to 8.1p Still showing a loss at the moment but I'm here for the long run and happy to do so as I do have confidence in this company and look forward to all that's before us
My buy showing up as a sell Why would that be??
If only, I do hope you're predictions are right and let's get this show on the road
Lanzarote in November for me!!
I sent a couple of emails, never received any reply, simply asking for SOME sort of clarification as to what is happening and when could investors expect an update on ANYTHING which could help ease the minds of the market and investors in the company
I too do not understand what it is we are being asked to vote on!! Any explanation in plain talk would be helpful in clarifying the proposals being put forward, maybe I need another cup of coffee to get my brain in gear!!
I would like to see notification of some "Director buys" after all if they have so much confidence in the company and their plans going forward let them put their money where their mouth is and invest some of their 'hard earned' cash, to help return some confidence back in the company and give a boost to the current shareholders, especially the smaller private investors who are hanging in there looking for that light at the end of a very long and dark tunnel.
Thank you for the welcome Jamesons. How I got involved - I had been reading articles online about the stockmarket and share dealing which I found so interesting. I then put in the search "share chat" which brought up this site, I simply opened up the link to the left for share risers on that day and AAOG was one of them, I went into see what people were saying about them and saw all the positive messages which I read over a couple of days and how there had been a great find of oil. So I read up on the company online, watched some of the interviews and decided I was going to have a go, which is exactly what I did. I know some people wont believe it, but it is the truth, that is the way I got involved with AAOG. It was my own decision and I don't regret it one jot!!
TIPTOP thank you so much for the warm welcome, and yes I am a Lady. I thought long and hard about what I would do with the money and realised that having a dabble in the stockmarket would be a great way of learning something new, make me use my brain?, and give me some excitement along the way, never thinking for one minute that I would end up being so very, very lucky in my first venture, it seems like fate and who knows where it is going to lead me in life. I realise not to be greedy and not to get too far ahead of myself as I am a complete novice but one who is trying very hard to learn and this adventure has given me a new purpose in life, something I know would have delighted my dear old Uncle who was the larger than life character who left the money to me
Thank you Irishmouse for your advice. I have been doing exactly what you have advised, reading, learning and researching. It is good to use the old grey matter again, as I have said I find it fascinating and enjoying learning so much, especially listening to people like yourself. At the moment I only hold shares in AAOG, there's only so much excitement I can take, what a journey I am on, and not just short term, I'm in it for the long term
Thank you Silverlight I read the posts on here on a daily basis and have already formed opinions as to who knows what they are talking about. I'm glad to say I always read your posts with great interest and find them most informative/helpful
I am new to the world of shareholding, having recently acquired a chunk of shares in AAOG with money left to me on the understanding I had to use it to do something completely out character with it, something exciting. So here I am an investor in a company which could end up completely changing my life when its full potential is realised. I am fascinated by the rollercoaster ride of the day to day 'goings on' and even as a novice can see that this company has huge potential. I for one will be sticking with it for the long term, as the old sayings go "Patience is a virtue" and "Everything comes to he/she who waits!!" Exciting times ahead so bring it on
