Did any private investors get the briefest chance at this **** show of an instantly oversubscribed "boys club" discounted share holding diluting offering?

I'm 270% up on this one so not too concerned but also been wondering why? It's always moved in mysterious ways , might be a vague perception of geopolitical risk? Or just somebody needed some money for a yacht and sold a big chunk!

For most of us an 800 pound Gorilla on the back would be fatal , for Unilever it's more like having to carry a heavy bag of shopping up the stairs
Once that snip of good news appears - A fund deciding to go long on ULVR or similar , I guess the shorters will melt away or swap to Calls , hence accelerating the up swing

It was performing fine until that shonky deal with Clydesdale and Yorkshire

If they re list as the same company and recognise existing shareholders it will probably involve a huge reverse split hundreds or even thousands to one , but, this has been an anything could happen share for years so time to sit back with the popcorn and wait ;-)

Well No more heroes I'd guess there's a lot of us in the same boat , what would be the point of selling it? I've hovered over the button a couple of times in recent years , book average of 0.08 - simply because I bought an extra million at their all time low! So I could of exited with a reasonable profit a couple of times, but , for reasons I can't really put a finger on I decided to hang on for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow , it represents substantially less than a 1 % of my portfolio anyway so just class it in mad money corner - I've got plenty of big dull stable things to make me feel like a grown up!

Ah here it is the bounce up , bought in a 3k extra few days early , so had to wait nearly a week but I can live with that :-)

Surprisingly quiet despite recent volatility - I wish I knew a way of predicting it! ;-) I bought a nice little chunk of these in the days after brexit , see no reason to sell currently

Hi Buy hold sell , although I am on the winning side of this deal - assuming that it goes through..(only because I doubled down at 6.8p) I am having increasing doubts on IC's use , seems that ever since they went for lot's of pictures on the homepage instead of easy navigation to useful articles it has gone downhill , I really don't have time to research hundreds/thousands of companies so have used it through the years as a shortlist for further research but strongly considering looking elsewhere for a similar service - any thoughts on where? money am. shares magazine? I like Seeking Alpha but heavily Americas biased

I wish I could claim some grand vision here but , probably like many others, I bought some too high on the IC tip then doubled down on my own evaluation early December so was holding more than I really wanted at an average of 9p - this one has definitely perked the look of my portfolio up , just need Herencia to prove that mad money corner can work out now !! ;-)

From their days as Northern Petroleum to now they have lost over 90% of their share value -( based on share price , the value may be different!) Now they are offering a special opportunity to buy more shares , at the market price ...............?????? OK they are fiddling around in Canada now instead of the North sea and Italy ,but, the only chance of a solid return as far as I can see is one of the Majors in Canada needing to buy something to avoid paying tax

Not really anything new , but, nice to hear the board clearly and concisely describe what they are doing and why , sounds a bit more promising than announcements of the last few years

That's me out of day trade at 1025 , still kept 280 shares as long term holds , think there's still some upside in the day ... maybe ... perhaps , but midnight in Australia so goodnight all :-)

There appears to be good support around 1005 , resistance back down to 1013 or so - allegedly , not entirely trusting what I'm seeing since it all froze at the crucial moment !

Hi Crystalball ,thanks for the response anyway, I'd love to share some insight from the level 2 - it was showing no heavy resistance till 1021 - 5 mins ago - frozen since then!!

Whilst I sit staring at the level 2 which I'm trialling with LSE , I'm happy to see resistance above current price for Clin. but a bit confused by the trade prices that show in black font , anyone know what theses are?
